......according to the album charts that is!

In the week of Glastonbury 2009 the official album charts shows Kasabian's new album at Number 1 and Springsteen's Greatest Hits at Number 3.

Based on this fact alone, I believe they should swap slots and Springsteen should be supporting Kasabian <_<

I bought Kasabian's album and listened to it over the weekend. It's not that great, although has two or three good songs on it.

I've got an old Greatest Hits album of Bruce, which is better, and my mate leant me a Bruce live at Earl's Court CD which is out-standing.

It is impressive for a Greatest Hits album to be that high up the charts, shows how much people rate Bruce.

I love Kasabian, but lets be fair, the boss pisses all over them. End of.

Edit: If we are doing greatest hits v Albums then how do we explain Oasis's stop the clocks coming second to Westlifes album at the time. Westlife, for life I say. Officially better than Oasis.

There'll be no i8nsulting the chuckle brothers in this thread! Barry Chuckle (rest in peace) has possibly got the funniest death in history.

"The PSNI have so far ruled out foul play and believe Mr Chuckle died of a massive heart attack during a particularly vigorous sexual act with a 53-year old local prostitute affectionately known as ‘Stinky’."

:D:D

    • I got in for £11.25 in the end, which was absolutely ridiculously good value, and made the queues and overselling of the venue much more tolerable! Sniping in on other people’s unwanted tickets on the day of an event might become my new hobby I think 🥳
    • Ann and Nancy Wilson are planning a final world tour for HEART starting next year. They were never at Glastonbury. They should do it.
    • sub yes I could see but I don't think they get 1hr 15, a headliner starting at 18:15 though is unlikely. Even the recent co-headlines that have had like 1hr 15 then a 1hr 30 after were on 8pm or just before, you are trailing behind more than 1.5 hours then. In that scenario some 3rd down bands are only starting at 18:15 and some haven't lol. I agree they won't not book them due to this but it won't be 6 headliners. It would be 5 headliners and you wouldn't want to see 5 headliners booked but Biffy were to not be thouhgt of as an option for one. Wolf Alice on the other hand could sub no bother and you'd think nothing of it. I'm not so sure Biffy would get headline though after the festival choice in Kendal this year.
    • Definitely. UKIP also used Merkel welcoming 1 million Afgans to Europe in 2015 during the brexit vote.   Politicians in other countries within the EU know the are going to lose voters to parties to the right of them over stuff like this and they've no control over it.
