Ideally, I'd prefer to never leave but for the purposes of keeping my job, I think Monday late afternoon 15:00-18:00

It only comes round once a year, Might as well stay for the maximum I can :)

Don't want to leave as early as last year, when I had to pack my tent up at 5am, after an hour's kip.

Prob leave after lunch, and take it steady on the way back.

I'm packing up Sunday, but will have a 2-3 hours kip in the car after Blur before heading off. Hope to be home in time to take the kids to school (although someone else IS doing this officially, it's not me dependent!)

hmm we always leave at supposedly the busiest times just before or after midday and have had no probs getting out (mud pits aside...)

Surely the 21 year old can take the 4 year old, and the 15 year old is old enough to make their own way to school?

Just explain that there were massive queues leaving the carpark, or that the monorail was broken so you couldn't get all your stuff to the carpark easily.

Think we left between four and five in the evening on Monday last year, and we had to problems getting out at all. Plus it's nice sitting back, finishing your last few beers and reflecting on what an amazing weekend it's been :P

I'm in no rush this year, want to make the most of it so late night Sunday, long sleep Monday morning, and then off on the road late the afternoon.

Have left car parks at 1:30am in the past with no queue at all, down to luck I guess.

I don't usually have a plan. I wake up, have something to eat, pack my stuff and take the tent down. Then when I can be arsed I walk over to the car and go. Think I left last year at about 11am, was in the car park for about an hour or so getting out.

    • If you didn't see melt banana at Apolo. Go see them at the festival. Insane.
    • Interesting, and thanks for coming back to give an update! I've seen that the second stage looks bigger than usual too, looks to be a Serious Stages - Stellar Stage from distance photos.    Seems like sizing wise stages have been scaled up somewhat this year.
    • I see its cancelled now but they did leave it really late to announce plus they are up against Kelburn Garden Party Festival not to far from the festival site.
    • Easily my favourite set of the day.
