Well it's been confirmed, Download 2010 is a go-go with the same set-up as this year.

Who's going?

Me! Tho I think I'm getting to old for this standard camping lark, would I be outta my mind to pay £400 for a teepee? Yes probably.

We were talking about doing RIP next year, the luxury of parking next to your tent seems worth the extra cost!

Band wise Blink 182, Pearl Jam, Maiden, System (if they're ready to return) would all go down a treat!

Alice Cooper for the classic rock day Please! Andy hope you are reading this lol!

Monster Magnet, Fear Factory, The Damned, and NIN would be a great start.Reckon we may be due Slayer again (not that I am complaining) new album coming out and are regular like clockwork.Need more Thrash next year.

Can I be the 1st to say AC/DC?

Blink 182

Greenday

SOAD

Pearl Jam

Metallica (again)

Aerosmith

Black Sabbath

Bon Jovi

Smashing Pumpkins

Alice Cooper

Also chuck in the following :

Iggy & the Stooges

Seether

ijust really hope they go for the classic rock day again.

the success of it is surely worthy of a revisit

Aerosmith have an album out next year they would be a sweeeeet way to end the weekend.

Slash promoting his solo album maybe?

maybe even some Poison just so i can get my 80s metal on again - never been surrounded by so many of my 80s metal bretherin as this weekend, its a shame to get back to reality.

The travelodge is a good idea but I prefer to be on site for a bit o banter

How do you get a comfy bed in RIP camping? Isn't it just camping lol? Is the ground comfier?

If anyone has done the RIP can you let us know if it's money well spent?

I fancy RIP, the parking next to your tent is just awesomeness... Though from the sounds of it it may be cheaper to stay at a travellodge/B&B nearby and just get a weekend ticket... the shower and comfy bed thing comes to play there!!!

    • Proper special gig tonight. They won't mean much to most people, but The Dogs D'Amour were one of the most significant bands of my youth.   Tyla, yer main man of said band, was playing in Birkenhead tonight. Not many there, but it was going fine. Then he decided he didn't like the smoke and the flashing lights so suggested moving the gig to the beer garden. Off we all went, and it was magical. Like having your favourite musician play in your garden. I absolutely loved it.   Before:     After:
