Rough estimate for the likelyhood of those bands:

Rammstein - 80% - General feeling is that they're very likely to headline

Blink 182 - 50% - depends on whether Reading/Leeds offer them a headlining slot. If they only offer them second on the bill there, they may headline download and get announced for Reading afterwards.

Rammstein Download Rumours Take A Hit

As you well know, we like to play festival mathematics around these parts and we’ve been predicting Rammstein for Download 2010 since Def Leppard’s last note rung out at this year’s kick-ass festival.

Well, while there’s still hope of Rammstein blowing tonnes of shit up and making Donington Park look like another day in Beirut, the German noise terrorists have confirmed that they will be playing Austria’s Nova Rock festival which takes place on the same weekend as next year’s Download festival (June 11th – June 13th).

Obviously, this doesn’t rule Rammstein out of the running, but it does throw a rusty spanner into the works.

Its looking very likely they're playing Sonisphere isn't it now

Rammstein Saturday and Iron Maiden Sunday

would also explain why Download have all of a sudden decided to not announce until next year and Sonisphere confirming they will be announcing the headliners next month

If the line up is Lost Prophets Friday, Pearl Jam Sat and Van Halen Sunday, thgink I'll just bother getting a Saturday ticket next year for Pearl Jam perhaps

Im just trying to look into acts playing Greenfeild, Novarock and Download the same weekend in the past

I can't see this years yet becuase historys haven't been updated but in 2008 In Flames, Rise Against, Bullet For My Valentine did all three

So its not completely out of the running, but Id say they're probably doing Sonisphere

Is it only me that thinks booking rammstein isn't the best move???...........

Don't get me wrong, i would f**king LOVE to see Rammstein at Download, but considering they're playing in Manchester (which im standing for! :P ), Birmingham, and have sold out Wembley Stadium, i would have thought a large majority of people who would want to see them would have seen them before the festival.

Agree to disagree, this is just my opinion! :P
