Tunnel

Hmm...here's me considering not going next year in a major way...but the idea of setting up a Tunnel Party is very very tempting! Storm and me also used it as a very convenient f**k the queue above our heads trudging sheep like in an Easterly direction and skidaddle over to Trash via the tunnel, down the path opposite the GreenPeace field, cross over the back of the Jazz and Circus fields and voila...

knowing all the shortcuts at the G certainly makes for a. the festy feeling VERY small these days b. now no longer takes more than 20 mins to get anywhere c. when you are amongst friends who know the shortcuts, it makes for interesting listening...left at the wooden mushrooms, go past the dreamcatcher stall, take another left at the maze, down the hill and then right but OVER the train tracks to get into the back of wherever...and so on

Tunnel underneath the railway?! I've been to the festival eight times now and I'd never realised there was a tunnel! I do remember there being a pretty tunnel of lights into Avalon one year but having seen the pictures in this thread, I realised you're talking about a proper one!

I found the tunnel this year along with a load of the other permanent fixtures, I really enjoyed wandering off and exploring. Used the tunnel a lot after that while avoiding the railway late at night!

I have just realised that I walked through the tunnel and thought little of it, how very strange!

I don't really get the attraction. I've slipped into the old dirty tunnel a few times, but it's not really excited me that much. I suppose it's down to what each individual enjoys - I mean I wouldn't stop anyone doing it, and if the lady I was with really wanted to do it and it wasn't out of the way, then sure, but I certainly wouldn't start bragging about it in a thread on the Internet.

Curtains! Make it our own little bit of Shangri-La, that's nowhere near Shangri-La, for a few hours one night. Drinks on entry, bearded ladies, knobly knees, voodoo ray etc :)

This is the sort of party I am talking about!!! Holospecs DEFFO needed!

The Thursday night maybe??? Seeing as SL and TC were shut...but then we COULD get crowds...hmm...decisions eh?

If it wasnt such a faff getting things on site we could even run a cocktail bar maybe?
I'll have a wheelbarrow again, & that sounds like just the sort of thing I could do to help me leave 2010 feeling that I too made the effort.

Interesting thing the crowds issue - want some else it's flat, but not necessarily loads. Could be any night after midnight IMO, or anytime after dark Thursday.

Aly, I'm just making the effort of making myself make the effort. How are we all going to spike Alchemy?!?

• 1. Baby Dave - Billy 2. A - Prang Not really got round to listening to many more in May so not really fair to vote but shoutout to EPs from Bleech 9:3 - Bleech 9:3 & Villanelle - Measly Means
    • Guitarricadelafuente was bloody brilliant tonight. This is going to be a very Spanish focussed year for me. Rusowsky dragging out Las Ketchup on Saturday has the potential to be a Prima magic moment.
    • £112 for standard entry. No thank you.
    • Meanwhile Gracie Abrams is £92 for the cheapest with the average price around £160 for lower tier and £103 standing. First time in a while I've gone from a definite yes to a definite no on price alone. Amble was £31 this morning.
