Exactly what theyve done. New UFC 206 main event. Aldo is now the champ. Bit of a mess really. The interim champ thing is a bit silly. Should be just #1 contender. Either way McGregor cant hold up the division anymore.
metallimuse
Giving up the title is fine but why have they just given the title to Aldo? Fuck that. Have Pettis & Max fight for the title then Aldo challenge next year.
Uncle Liam
Well Aldo is already the interim champ, isn't he? That's why his fight with Edgar was 5 rounds.

The Nal
McGregor issued with a Californian boxing license. I'm all for bravado in the fight game but surely hes not going to fight Mayweather? He'll get fucking destroyed. Assume its just a PR move to keep the machine turning while hes on his break. We'll probably see him "KO" someone at Wrestlemania too. Edited December 1, 2016 by The Nal
Uncle Liam
I can't imagine the CSAC would even sanction a Mayweather v McGregor fight. A guy who is 49-0 against a guy 0-0 and (i'm guessing) no amateur record as well. Saying that, James Toney got a license to fight against Randy Couture, so I guess it's possible. Uncle Liam
Also, California might not sanction it, but Texas almost certainly would, ditto Louisiana and Tennessee. Those states don't give a fuck.
When Jokers Attack
Since when did Floyd fight outside of Vegas? fight will never happen, sick of hearing about it, just a publicity stunt for sure and it works so well done Conor. Mighty Mouse squash match this weekend but a pretty good co-main in Benavides vs Cejudo Jones was on Rogan's podcast tonight, just the usual from him saying he is a changed man, said he will drink again in the future because he feels he is in control now. He did discuss almost everything that happened so was a good listen, how much of what he said was true? I have no idea. He is grappling Dan Henderson next weekend so was on to promote that. The Nal
Why are they throwing the winner of the Ultimate Fighter to the wolves, so to speak?
Uncle Liam
No other viable contenders. Might as well try and pop a rating.

This series being 'champion of champions' is what gives it a bit of legitimacy. The whole thing is a gimmick but he needs someone else to fight. I see Benavidez beating Cejudo fairly comfortably, but it'll be interesting. He's only lost 4 in his career (2 to Cruz and 2 to Mighty Mouse) and 3 of those were split decisions. Really great fighter, just a shame for him that he's around at the same time as two GOAT contenders.
The Nal
Looking forward to seeing Korean Superboy Doo-ho on Saturday against some decent competition. He is an animal.
When Jokers Attack
Love him but not sure if Swanson will be too much of a step up. Still picking Superboy though. Im really looking forward to the ppv this weekend, Holloway/Petttis could be a classic. Korean Zombie is back Super Bowl weekend. 5 round main event against Bermudez. When Jokers Attack
Superboy/Swanson best fight in years! Great card, cowboy/Brown ruled. Aldo vs Holloway is next, what a fight. Hope it gets made soon as don't think Holloway suffered any damage.

DomDom1984
Jose Aldo is as unreliable as anyone in the UFC.
When Jokers Attack
Well Aldo is down to fight at 208 t but we will see if Holloway shows up, he kind of backtracked at the post-fight presser saying he wanted more time off. CHRLY
Still thinking of that Superboy/Swanon matchup. The second round is easily round of the year, and I was ready to give that to Whittaker/Brunson. Just an amazing fight, so excited to see where Superboy goes. He could be a star. 206 was ace, easily top three cards of the year along with 205 and 199 for me. Looking ahead, Holloway vs Aldo is such a good matchup. I have to say I can't see Jose losing this one, but it'll be one of his toughest tests. I really am routing for Max here though, would be a shame to see his momentum halted. CHRLY
Lists anyone? Still got 207 to come but the UFC are releasing theirs... Fights: 1. Robbie Lawler vs Carlos Condit 2. When Jokers Attack
Fights 1. Choi vs Swanson 2. Reyes vs Kim 3. Lawler vs Condit Events 1. 199 2. 206 3. 205 Fighters 1. Bisping 2. Miocic 3. Cruz (once he schools Cody)
CHRLY
I think it will be remembered as the year of Bisping, he's had one hell of a 12 months for sure. It's a shame because I'm pretty certain Yoel will destroy him and I really don't want this run of his to end.
CHRLY
I've also been thinking that this crazy year could be topped off with Cody KO'ing Cruz. All logic suggests Dom will run rings around him for 5 rounds, but ya know how MMA can be.
When Jokers Attack
Rousey won't be doing any media. Remember Conor got pulled from 200 for missing one pressed. Rousey is a baby, never seen someone handle a loss so bad.
