Glastonbury line-up

Hmm that is quite a negative opinion to have fella but you are entitled to it of course.

The rest of us will be having the time of our lives with likeminded people in the fields of Avalon seeing world class performances from some of the best musical and performace artists in the world all for about £40/day for the ticket.

You may mock and deride the Glasto experience however it is your great loss that you have never experienced it. Perhaps you will have a change of mind or not in the future. The rest of us at the Glastonbury Festival will in the meantime will 'Party like it's 1999' to quote Prince.

It is a 'Poor mans holiday' for me at least as I'm pretty broke and unemployed at the moment however all such negative thoughts disappear once I am at Glasto - I am then the richest person in the world for a few days at least.

I hope you find an equivalent experience in your life too.

Best Wishes

Dave

Nope, thank god, I haven't!! far to much effort to make it enjoyable.

Let's face it all festivals are complete shit, bands only play half arsed sets, there's far to many people to make watching any band an enjoyable experience.

Seeing a big band in a small venue will always beat any festival performance. f**k festivals.

Festivals are for the people who don't get to gigs much, a cheaper way of seeing some of the bands they like. Poor mans holiday.... "Butlins with live music"

you're never going to get springsteen or neil young playing a 'small venue' though are you, so where better to see them than at a place like glastonbury? Rather there than an overcrowded football pitch with cups of slash going everywere.

    • I had a great time yesterday and came to the conclusion that everytime (or, more accurately, both times) I didn't have a great time at Primavera, it was water-related. Either there was too much of it (Thursday 2026) or there wasn't enough (Thursday 2022, week 1).
    • I sacrificed the first hour of the cure for Role model yesterday and oh man that was a good bet! That guy and his band are insanely good and an hour long only bangers!

    • Possibly not as there are chair size restrictions in the seated area, for the guidelines see here -  https://www.bbc.co.uk/backstage/radio2inthepark/bring   Have a look into applying for Access and I would recommend contacting them for further advice before buying a ticket - https://www.bbc.co.uk/backstage/radio2inthepark/access  They should also be able to answer if you can take a wheelchair into the seated area 🙂
