The return of the Common Ground cafe. OK, so they are a bit beardy and there was a wee bit of silly hoohaa about their views about certain faiths (the arguments against them are more ridiculous tho tbh!) so that is why they aren't allowed at the Big G these days...but I miss the pancakes and the Iced coffees and the cool 2 storey building that used to in the Acoustic field.

Had to make do with the Common Ground Cafe in the Blue Mountains, NSW instead last year...oh shame...and we had a lush open fire, huge hot chocs and even bigger muffins there. :P

main areas of dance village (and elsewhere) to go on later

the main acts shouldnt be coming on at 11pm!!! should be 1 or 2am for a 3 to 4am finish!

obviously this wont happen due to licensing but it would be a lot better. although tents would get a lot more busy...

Glasto felt different when there were more hippies, people seemed to make the entertainment more rather than waiting for something to happen. very few people are poi'ing dancing and making an idiot of themselves. people seem to think theyre 'above it' in recent years. you dont get the random nakedness as much or the odd mangy dog.

it used to feel like a hippy gathering with some bands playing but the focus has shifted to be more commercial

dont get me wrong, i love glasto but im glad the greenfields are still hippiefied. once that goes so will i :P

An Arena, with lots and lots of security guards telling you what to do and what you can and can't bring. And while were at it, why don't we scrap the green freilds and all the obsucure stuff and just have all the main stages in one confined space, to make the walking distance from stage to stage shorter.

Didn't see that coming did you?

ONLY JOKING!

I love glastonbury as it is, nothing needs changing.

    • World Cup 2026: What is happening with ticket prices? - BBC Sport   Sounds like Infantino has been learning from his buddy if he's running around claiming its all sold out while quietly dumping tickets below face on assorted secondary websites.
    • Mac DeMarco also cancelled
    • I'm British so it very much would apply for me.   I mean, it's a moot point as I don't have tickets so will not be in town for this, but I've heard reports of lengthy queues and given I remember Lisbon Airport having a long queue at arrivals even pre-EES when I went in 2023, I seem to guess it might be quite the wait, depending on flight paths.   Certainly, the worst I've had pre-EES was a 45 minute wait for a stamp at Valencia Airport in Spain, where 4 flights to non-EU destinations in quick succession were placed one after the other. So I can't say I'm enthusiastic about what's in store. Or you know. Maybe I'm just overthinking it.
    • Out of interest keep seeing messages saying last 12 hours etc… to buy you full weekend tickets.  Whats that about? Do they take them off sale early?
