Surely its not just a case of if you have insurance?

like all gigs if they are cancelled due to circumstances outside your hands you should get your money back?

Also it's not a case of where the pig farms are, as it can be transmitted from human to human, especially if it becomes a pandemic.

Personally though i can't see it being banned, let me rephrase that i hope like hell that it is not banned it is my christmas, it is the one thing i look forward to above all (like the majority of people of this forum : ))

And this figure is based on what? ;)

The last time I heard was there was 5 people confirmed with swine flu, not 5 million. Stop panicking. It's the scaremongering that is blowing this thing out of proportion.

If it gets cancelled then there is not a lot we can do about it. I will be gutted along with everybody else on here but if they cancel Glastonbury then that rules out football matches, shopping centres being open etc. Pretty much everywhere around the country where there are going to be loads of people.

I to would be a bit miffed if it were stopped...It may well be it willl be stopped along with many many more things...Its a real threat to life....and something that will not go away..Myself if it meant not going to Glastonbury to help save many many young lives then there is no other alternative, in the next week or so there will be many many unpopular decesions taken but they are taken for a reason...TO SAVE LIVES

I am not arguing that because Glastonbury should be cancelled if there was a risk but you have pretty much already written off the festival over 5 people contracting it with absolutely no foundation. As for it being a real threat to life then that is a long list of things to ban that are a threat to life, how about crossing the road ;)

Also, your original post seems more concerned with informing people about getting a refund ;)

Yes it was at first about a refund...but all the flippant comments over something which could lead to huge loss of life just spurred me on. No more comments from me now on swine flu. The refund thing was just to enquire if the insurance made certain of a refund, as i can't see full refunds for people without it,for it would bankrupt Eavis...End of my posts on matter now. ;)

the press always blows that kinda crap way outta proportion, i thought everyone would of learnt that before with the foot & mouth and the bird flu which supposedly was meant to wipe out a small percentage of the population, i cant see it affecting things like glasto or life as we know it

    • Another one from Sheffield DocFest this weekend, Earth Wind & Fire docu, directed by Questlove. Sensational archive footage, contributions from band members, family, plus a lot of very big fans (Stevie, Lionel, Flea, the Obamas) and a warts n all assessment of the genius / flawed human being that was Maurice White. Also, I never realised he started out as a jazz drummer with Ramsay Lewis. Well worth a watch.
