Is it just me, or is there a lack of decent pop punk/pop rock bands this year? Last year we had Simple Plan, Ash, The Subways, Jimmy Eat World, Zebrahead and probably some others that are slipping my mind (excluded Offspring cos they were headliners)

Was hoping for at least one of LTJ, NFG, BFS, RBF or AAR for a bit of variety (weird those bands are all abreviated with 3 letters!)... Youmeatsix and Go:audio don't really cut it, Billy Talent are cool though!

I know, it's been a running joke on here since the first announcement as prior to the official announcement they were the only bands who ended up announced that weren't down as TBC on efestivals :P

Wow. Well that's me convinced. No longer will I listen to any of these bands as they clearly aren't teh metulz - and are therefore the equivalent of the backstreet boys . You have truely opened my eyes and I bow to your maturity and superior musical preferences... Dickhead. :P

Sure you wouldn't prefer to be just at Bloodstock for fear of an NSync headlining slot?! What a c*nt.

Edit: Actually I'm not done yet... Which of the bands I mentioned, with the possible exception of AAR are "Radio Friendly" I can honestly say I've never heard LTJ on the radio, NFG might have got some airtime off of their first 2 albums, RBF may have got Sell Out played around 10 years ago and BFS have had intermitant commercial success.

Honestly. What a dick (wonder if Shinny will react to you putting down NFG!)

also agree with above; id have liked some of the sunshine friendly bands as well.

Little bit of pop punk never hurt anybody; Download should do a stage like the lock up at reading just for a bit of diversity

sure the metal kids would cry.....but its a sacrifice im willing to take.

The Marilyn Manson/Chris Cornell clash is terrible for me, really wanted to see both. Cornell should've been on the main stage :O

Plenty of clashes for me:

Faith No More/Motley Crue/Meshuggah

Korn/Opeth/Loaded

Backyard Babies potentially clash with Korn

Whitesnake/Therapy?

ZZ Top or Dream Theater/Clutch

Journey/Volbeat or Karma To Burn

Tesla/God Forbid

Only good clashes are Voivod/Limp Bizkit

Lawnmower Deth/Pendulum

The Answer/Dragonforce

Still more bands to be announced yet, could yet get shaken up a bit more.
