Right, we`r staying at a B & B in Shepton the Tuesday night this year, we want to be in the greatness of Glasto from the off

Anyway, id just like some info from you kind peeps who are expierenced

What places are in Shepton Mallet that will be handy for supplies before heading into Glastonbury. Ive read there`s a Toscos and i also read theres an Argos next door to Tesco which is very handy if its true. Can someone confirm if thats fact?? Oh and do busses run from Shepton to Glastonbury from the Wednesday morning???

Any info would be greeeeeeeeeeat ;)

Just a thought but you might not want to plan on buying everything in Shepton M because quite a lot of early glastonbury goers make pit stops on there way through therefore stuff might sell out. i live 1 1/2 hours from glasto and last year we went to our local argos the tuesday b4 to buy camping gear and they were out of stock for a lot of stuff cuz of a glastonbury rush, so make sure you plan ahead for this.

    • TVOD are playing Blue Basement in London 2/9 with a complete EOTR/Psych Fest shaped hole before their next gig in Lyon on 8/9. Well received in the Big Top last year, reckon they're nailed on for a secret set in the Tipi.
    • Didn't they widen the entrance last year to enable them to increase the number of pitches or have I imagined this? Perhaps they might return under a different form of glamping?
    • It should forever be the Tipi.   Just as the news about Geese was shared on Twitter.
    • It really surprised me that Rock AM Ring made Download feel like an extremely well organised festival with good communication in comparison. If we were to ever try either of them again we would go for IM Park and stop in Nuremberg.     Agree that the long thin mainstage isn't great, but where the mainstage is makes it really hard to navigate when it is busy because of that choke point created by the food vendors, bar/lounges with a view of main and where the crowd is coming form second stage. The concrete is hard on the joints. The front standing is a pisstake and the communication from the fest about what is happening on site other than which campsites are filling up leaves a lot to be desired. Car parks being a free for all doesn't help either.   I think it really suffers being so far from anything other than small towns/villages that lack proper public transport and Koblenz being the closest town which you can can use to get public transport to the fest being 60km away.
    • Yeah its absolutely on me that isn't think Shinia Twain was an awful choice- i get that.  Im still of the paul simon, ELO kind of thoughts but I realise things change. Im still intrigued what constitutes legend though. Robert plant played and he wasn't a legend slot- to me that would have fitted. Is it a ' comedy ' ' good time ' slot now? Comedy isn't the right word - guilty pleasure or something like that?
