Glasses in Caravan

I'm not one of those with either a campervan or a caravan. I'd love to have one but my wife, who doesn't do camping, reckons a campervan buys a lot of nights in nice hotels.

This year a friend has offered to lend me his campervan for the three festivals I do over the summer. But at present I'm not planning to take it to Glasto because we always meet up with a group of friends and camp in the same area.

However I'm wondering what the atmosphere is like in the Campervan/Caravan area. Any experiences or advice?

Thought I'd bump this as I was just checking to see what the latest advice regarding glasses in campervans is.. and the answer is.. pull it all out. Windows and side-mirrors are allowed, but that's aboot it. Not a problem as long as you know in advance.

I took up my VW up in 2005 but wouldn't be tempted to take it again, I didn't find it that friendly - A lack of smiles! You don't tend to see that many people as people are in and out of the festival at different times or maybe everyone was avoiding me :O

It's also quite a walk.... and one heck of a hill!

    • Completed my 2026 survey. Put down Super Furry Animals as my most wanted for next year but suspect the moment has gone for that. Popped a big shopping list in the box for who else you would like to see. 🙂
    • Blink-182 / Avril Lavigne / Good Charlotte / Neck Deep    Lamb of God / Malevolence      System Of A Down / Five Finger Death Punch / Skindred / Godsmack   Motionless In White / Poppy      Deftones / Gojira / Knocked Loose / President    Sabaton / Amon Amarth
    • This Isaac wood news has dropped right out of left field. Great to hear he feels up to doing live stuff again    what will he play? Solo stuff , old BCNR stuff?    It’s only in November , it’s a bold booking to for someone who has previously had some struggles to come back and play a load of new stuff to crowds that big
    • Wow, Blink-182 back so soon. They’re the band they’ve never booked then. Great booking if they’ve got them.    Deftones, Papa Roach, Knocked Loose   Lamb of God   Blink-182, Avril Lavigne, Good Charlotte   Megadeth   Slipknot, Gojira, Motionless In White   All Time Low
