Headliners!

Exactly - it's a holding page you get (got?) whenever you typed in an unspecified page. Either it lists all the major bands on the whole tour, or else - just maybe - it's a bit of mischief designed to steal some of Download's thunder.

I'm sure Knebworth won't get Slipknot or Prodigy. I doubt they'll get NIN.

But be honest. One of the reasons people are liking it is because that page is exactly the kind of line-up Download should be getting, and just doesn't seem capable of anymore...

Can't be arsed reading through all the Solisphere sh*t to see if this has been posted before, but the download dog has confirmed that Slipknot were the only headliner announced.

Download festival details revealed

Slipknot and The Prodigy are headlining this year's Download Festival.

The masked rockers and dance crossover legends will be joined at this year's rock event by 'Girls Girls Girls' hitmakers Motley Crue, drum 'n' bass act Pendulum and 'Freak on a Leash' stars Korn, who are playing the event for the fifth time.

This year's festival is going to be better than ever with a brand new arena designed by our fans and a great line up of music

Organisers of the event, which takes place at Donington Park, Derby, have promised the seventh festival will be the best yet, and have made a series of changes following discussions with fans

well knowing slipknot have already confirmed the saturday and Prodigy can only play saturday his means that there either co-headlining or prodigy are headlining the second stage. Guess we'll finally get to answer the question did prodigy cause the riots of 06.

    • If you didn't see melt banana at Apolo. Go see them at the festival. Insane.
    • Interesting, and thanks for coming back to give an update! I've seen that the second stage looks bigger than usual too, looks to be a Serious Stages - Stellar Stage from distance photos.    Seems like sizing wise stages have been scaled up somewhat this year.
    • I see its cancelled now but they did leave it really late to announce plus they are up against Kelburn Garden Party Festival not to far from the festival site.
    • Easily my favourite set of the day.
