WEATHER 2009 !

Is that from 6z GFS Scorp? Looks high pressure dominated with an easterly breeze kicking in but as we'll all be in the sheltered south west so i reckon temps of mid 20's with some scope or possibly slighlty higher! I noticed that Euro model has now moved more inline with UKMET today meaning the high sticks around over th UK much longer.... :(

Irrelevant. The significant winds and rain in the South West today was forecast. Swansea/Wales are copping it even more, it's downright depressing here in South Wales right now, but also the rain is passing through pretty quickly. From tomorrow, conditions look like picking up swiftly

Swansea is indeed copping it big time.

Looking at the flood warning radar though it is almost through, it appears to be dry in Pembrokeshire already.

The SW though does look pretty wet - but I don't think it will last long.

And as will said - it has been forecast.

It's raining rather a lot here in Bristol and i've now got very wet feet :( . Hopefully getting it all out the way now though....

I really do hate the anxious weather watching of the last week before the festival!

When checking Metcheck and its updates, can I please continue to lobby for people to use the general forecast for Glastonbury (town) (or maybe for BA4 4BY).

I mean as opposed to the 'Glastonbury Festival' one which people keep quoting -- the latter only covers a limited number of days, and gives less detailed information overall.

I have some barbed criticisms of Metcheck in general, but not of what it's showing on the 13:19 pm update today (Weds), wall to wall sunshine shown ...

That dark blue square of 8.9 mm of rain on the Tuesday before is clearly the after effects of their continuing crack habit, no models anywhere are really supporting that.

Yeah, I don't mean to generalize. Its all aimed at that one very pessimistic person with his Thom york avatar. He is seriously doing me noodle in (well just a tad).

    • Proper special gig tonight. They won't mean much to most people, but The Dogs D'Amour were one of the most significant bands of my youth.   Tyla, yer main man of said band, was playing in Birkenhead tonight. Not many there, but it was going fine. Then he decided he didn't like the smoke and the flashing lights so suggested moving the gig to the beer garden. Off we all went, and it was magical. Like having your favourite musician play in your garden. I absolutely loved it.   Before:     After:
