Lots of panic going on when perspective is needed. Jackone hasn't lowered his grading, it is still a 7 out of 10, which is still a high grading and a very good place to be at this time.

Lots of doom about storms and rain from people also, I didn't see anything local to Glastonbury, closest being Exeter, whereas the "r**n" that was meant to hit Bristol today decided to do one, thus wall to wall sunshine and about 20 degrees with the same expected here tomorrow.

Don't give up the dream now its getting closer, we all know the motto...

NO RAIN, NO MUD, NO COMPROMISE!

This thread will defo in up with over 200 pages, madness. Either people are gone soft in the head, or there is actually something in this general panic over rain. If God has a computer, and logs in as 'judas' and takes time to read some of the 'my boots have holes and my carpet is purple' type of comments he will make sure its a swamp, however if he's into The Specials and Eat Static he may well turn the oven on.

Who really knows.

"Kinda want to add something - the window of certainty on the ensembles has got quite large. Sometimes it's only 2-3 days, but at the moment it's almost a week for our corner of somerset

However the dates of the festival do not, as of yet, fall into this range of certainty and beyond that the models always tend to 'middling' conditions. They also run in a much more coarsely detailed fashion so rainfall amounts can seem exaggerated

So don't let a little wet at the end get you down basically, it's still very much up in the air but looking far better than.... ach *touch wood* can't bring myself to say it I've gone all superstitious this year"

It's going to be wonderful and sunny as all the rain we could possibly need seems to have fallen in Somerset this afternoon. By next week, there will be no more rain left.

With lots of positive thoughts the sun will shine on all that are there all weekend(fingers, toes and all that can be possibly crossed).

Whatever it will be great festival, have a good one.

UK Outlook for Saturday 20 Jun 2009 to Monday 29 Jun 2009:

The weather next weekend and into the following week is expected to be dominated by high pressure. This will mean plenty of dry and warm weather, particularly for central and southern areas with some good spells of sunshine. However, outbreaks of rain are likely at times for Scotland and Northern Ireland, and some showery outbreaks may extend a little further south across parts of northern England and Wales on Sunday. Temperatures will be generally near normal at first, but becoming warm, especially for central and southern areas. Thereafter, generally little change. Plenty of dry, fine and warm weather is expected, though rain or showers in the north may spread further south into some central areas over time, though dry and warm weather should last throughout across the south.

    • Not necessarily but it should be, Download have a habit of messing it uo when others get the bookings on point. Good Charlotte I doubt are playing 3rd down and that too 3 that day while dreamy is too strong. I think you'd have one another day to help sell weekend tickets. I also doubt Papa Roach play.
    • Here's a bit of a wild stab, few placings may be off, and for all I know half of these won't actually be touring next year, but screw it, it's a bit of fun   Pyramid: Sabrina Carpenter, Phoebe Bridgers, TBA (Florence + The Machine), Garbage, The Last Dinner Party, Interpol, Alex James Britpop Classical Other: Chase & Status, Teddy Swims, Clairo, The Kooks, Zara Larsson, Kingfishr, Sports Team, Orbital West Holts: Robyn, Baby Keem, De La Soul, Deltron 3030, JID, Dua Saleh, kwn, Daniela Latila Woodsies: Bonobo, Darkside, TBA (Tame Impala), Laufey, Warmduscher, Wednesday, The Lottery Winners, The Royston Club, Florence Road Park: Patti Smith, Super Furry Animals, Slayyyter, The Cardigans, Skye Newman, Kelly Lee Owens, Teen Jesus & The Jean Teasers   Pyramid: Harry Styles, The xx, Richard Ashcroft, The Pogues, Jessie J, Sigrid, Travis Other: Rosalia, Sombr, Mitski, Alex Warren, Holly Humberstone, Cat Burns, Pale Waves, Yard Act West Holts: Basement Jaxx, Elyanna, Clipse, L’Imperatrice, Nation of Language, Jim Legxacy, Yazmin Lacey, RIP Magic Woodsies: Suede, Chvrches, Bleachers, MUNA, The Cribs, Keo, Bleech 9:3, The Lilacs Park: MARINA, Magdalena Bay, Jacob Alon, TBA (Lily Allen performs West End Girl), Getdown Services, Isaac Wood, Snail Mail, Madra Salach Pyramid: Sam Fender, Hozier, David Byrne, Cher, Obongjayar, David Gray, Billy Ocean Other: Doja Cat, Deftones, Addison Rae, Ren, Viagra Boys, Maisie Peters, The Reytons, Hard Life West Holts: Kano, Thievery Corporation, Angine De Poitrine, Thee Sacred Souls, Brooke Combe, Sasha Keable, Master Peace Woodsies: The Wombats, Metronomy, Geese*, Dry Cleaning, EsDeeKid, Sienna Spiro, Cowboy Hunters, Radio Free Alice Park: Big Thief, Laura Marling, MJ Lenderman, Richard Dawson, Oklou, Maruja, Dead Dads Club, Ratboys   *There's always one band booked for Woodsies that ends up being massively under-billed and gets shut down really early. They'd be better off playing somewhere like Other sub, but I could see the G getting them to play a smaller stage while it's still possible
