They were amazing, although the crowd was static pretty much, even they were obviously a bit nonplussed at the (lack of) reaction during songs. I remember why I haven't seen a gig in Cambridge for ages even though I live here. The new stuff is incredible live though.

It was pitifully quiet reaction from crowd - you get a lot of tweeded billies and clueless couples at the Corn Ex sometimes. Not being snobbish, it's just they don't seem to know what's going on!

Not the ideal choice of venue for a tour opener!

Yes that's the setlist above..

The sound was superb. Especially on Jetstream. Could hear all the intricacies. 10.03 was great - leading into Words.

May try and get down to Brixton now....... Cedar Room will have to wait til Glastonbury

i wonder why some venues get like that? :P

i live equidistant between the big smoke and reading and its never a choice, always go to the big smoke if theres an option

glad you had a good one - what'd you think of 10.03 live then?

I've been reading the on-line reviews of KOR - all positive and all different in tracks they like/don't like. For instance 1 reviewer thought last 2 tracks were weakest and another thought the last 2 were strongest (like I do). Most think it sags in the middle. Methinks they should spend a week listening before writing their reviews - I'm sure their opinion on best/worst tracks would change.

Its great to have Compulsion added to the set list. On first listening to the CD the 2 standout tracks were Compulsion and House of Mirrors. Just need them to add HoM to the set list (+Cedar tho they'll save that for festivals).

    • Interesting to read. It's mostly why we stopped going a few years back even though it's the nearest big festival to home. The post-exams timing and location makes it a rites of passage first festival for people in a big area. Understandably that leads to a bit of giddiness. Think lineup would need to be a lot more my cup of tea to be enticed back. Friends who are there are having a good time tho and no rain is a good thing for up there.
    • I honestly didn't know it had, I still thought it was where the view overlooked the lake and view.   I think my decision not to attend this year at least was justified. Biffy was the big draw but after Finsbury I knew they wouldn't play what I want to hear again and well work also got in the way. Believed interesting to hear if Libertines were any good as they were also a pull but Sunday did nothing for me really with all my acts on Friday and Saturday.

    • Knocked Loose have been announced for Wacken, that's them at Bloodstock as well   I think they'd headline over Malev
    • I hate tradmill running with a passion lol. Yeah the 1km reps are the one along with hill reps. That's what I did last time.  It's very a very hot summer and job circumstances to stay at the consistent level I was for the marathon earlier in the year. I've got a full set of the main distance new PBs this year. 10k isn't a problem most days but even today I went out deciding just over 5 mile was enough between recovery cruise and steady.
