Just want to thank Katster.

I've been on the phone, and explained that at the moment I have a valid licence, but I only watch about 4 programmes a week, and they are available on the websites after on demand.

The young lady (yes I ask ages, I'm a flirt OK??) explained that as long as I disconnect my set top box from the tv, and make sure there isn't an aerial going into the TV/Video/DVD, I am laughing. Thats saved me a few quid tomorrow.

Thanks

No worries

I had another letter last week confirming that they had taken what I had said over the phone into account and that they would be sending a representative out to visit me soon who would confirm that what I have told them over the phone is indeed the case. They apparently hope I will be accommodating

Got a letter from this mob today, as I recently bought a new television and the company I bought it from are obliged by law to inform the TV Licencing people.

Already got a licence at this address in rollergirls names, though if I was staying here as a lodger I would need one for me too.. what a farce surely if you watch the same TV.

That can't be right can it? Does that mean students in shared accomodation (i.e. house share) all have to have a licence each? I have three friends who all live in one house....each of them needs a licence? Nightcrawler13 lives in a house with a few other people, I'm fairly sure they only have one licence between them.....Nightcrawler??

    • Proper special gig tonight. They won't mean much to most people, but The Dogs D'Amour were one of the most significant bands of my youth.   Tyla, yer main man of said band, was playing in Birkenhead tonight. Not many there, but it was going fine. Then he decided he didn't like the smoke and the flashing lights so suggested moving the gig to the beer garden. Off we all went, and it was magical. Like having your favourite musician play in your garden. I absolutely loved it.   Before:     After:
