Yeah, that's right. Your telly might explode. Right now. And the BBC are the only people who can fix it. Like some sort of crack telly repair team.

That was definitely the best analogy I could have picked... no doubt about it....

People like to over emphasise things. I find the external world a rather stupid one, but if you treat it situationally it usually ends up coming to some mutual arrangement with you.

there are lots of things tax pays for that you might not use

Some are vital some are completely frivolous

Why single out tv for a special licence

If you are a freak who never watched tv then you should still pay so you can watch tv if you want to

And to fund radio and BBC website

The licence fee will be scrapped soon whether you like it or not

As it turns out, you can watch most programs on the iplayer or other such equivalents for channel 4 and itv... Now, what if you could browse the internet through your tv, using a games console or plugging it into your tv and watch the iplayer etc. on your tv. Would you still have to pay the license if you never actually watched it live?
