    It does still happen, but it feels a little less spontaneous than it used to. There's probably other factors at work though. We used to go in a small group and before smart phones. Now there's more of us, always waiting for someone and we're older and grumpier!

    With the late night stuff you used to be able to bumble around and just stumble in to an amazing venue with good music. There seems to be more planning now as there's more queuing you need to plan around.

    Very passively aggressively say loudly to your friend how it's hard to enjoy the band with talkers next to you. They will definitely get the hint and behave themselves.

    Most places did Otter for their ales offering last year. If you wanted a cold one you had to go with the lager as the ale was a little otter.

    Wow. Those consequences! Ours was just a 2 hour delay getting to the car. Yours was another level!

    The property lockups close at 12 on the Monday. We did not realise this. The missus had to trek all the way up by the farmhouse to get our car key.

    Off topic for this thread, but we took our 7 month old boy last year and we had the best time. Taking him again this year.

    Great photos. Wish I'd taken more (any) in my early days. I was camped on the hill in front of the farmhouse overlooking the Pyramid. Too steep to be comfortable at night as you'd slide down the tent. But when the rain hit we were completely dry inside. But the state of the site wasn't enough to stop me coming back.

    Remember the biodegradable tent pegs they gave out one year? Made of dried compressed potato or carrot peel or something like that. Snapped instantly. Tasted horrible too.
