Acoustic plays Scouting for Girls, Stornoway and an Acoustic Set by Ocean Colour Scene. Coming back stronger, Field of Avalon lays down The Feeling and BC Camplight. Then Shangri-La ups the stakes by deploying a Royal Sampler shouting about hot meals. Other Stage laughs up its sleeve, cos it knows everyone's forgotten they're already holding Idles, Disclosure and The National trumps.

It's probably a bit too long and isn't a big left turn after Midnights, but the quality of the tunes is sky high. Wouldn't want to be Matt Healy this morning. But agree that next time should definitely be a new formula.

I dunno. If they offer up a secret set on a smaller stage playing Funeral would the festival really turn it down? Getting a freebie from a former headliner - albeit with a tarnished rep - is a way of shoring up a weaker line up.

That is the audience that those stages attract.

I doubt anyone wanted to get into a mud-slinging match over it given its obviously very 'inspired' by Bo Diddley and Muddy Waters, e.g
