I've got a better idea Lee - why don't you get on a plane and f**k off forever, you fascist c**t!
-
Just bathing in the beauty of the new Beirut album today. Absolutely gorgeous!
-
I don't care how much people hate the Aussies - that innings from Maxwell is the greatest thing I've ever seen on a cricket field!
-
Nah - she's just a horrible c**t!

England annihilated again! This must be the worst defence of a World Cup by any team in any sport!

RIP Bobby Charlton. My Dad's favourite player & the reason I became a United fan.

Oi! Not all us shortarses are complete w*nkers!

England thrashed by Afghanistan in the cricket World Cup - Wow!

Absolutely f**king love their new album. Definitely gonna go to see them on their next tour. -
Loving the new Mary Wallopers.

What a load of f**king bollocks! Paranoid, much?

Jeez, some people take football WAAAAY too seriously! It was a week ago - let it go!

If we ever get PR, then I'll vote Green. While we've got FPTP, it's pointless. I'll be voting LD in the next election, just to get the Tories out.

We've got the headliner thread, but what do you want to see next year? I've found these lists useful in previous years in finding new discoveries. Just a few off the top of my head: The Rural Alberta Advantage Craig Finn Laura Cantrell Jason Isbell Withered Hand Bob Mould

My home town club - Cheltenham - still haven't scored a goal this season! Wonder if we'll score before Xmas? 😟

Some excellent suggestions, except Animal Collective - they should never be invited back after stinking the place out when they headlined in 2016 - the only band I've ever given 0 out of 10 at EOTR!

The Annual EOTR Weather Forecast/Predictions (2023 edition)
Punksnotdead replied to RedRockRick's topic in End of the Road
So, after attending the last 15 EOTR festivals, I won't be there this year. I'm starting to regret it now, but financially it would have been a struggle. Anyway, I just wanted to say I hope you all have an amazing weekend - I know you will regardless of the weather. Any newbies on here - you're in for a treat! Hope to see you all next year.- 47 replies

It wasn't cheered by me - I f**king love Beirut!
-
Ah no - fair enough! I was talking about the bars.
-
At EOTR you pay £1.50 for the first cup & then they take it off you & change it for a washed cup. I assumed that's what we're talking about. I would think this is something that Glastonbury have looked into & there's a good reason why they've not done it yet?
-
I imagine it's the sheer number of reusable cups that prevent Glastonbury doing it. They do it at End of the Road & it works great, but I imagine it would be a logistical nightmare doing it for 200,000 people?

I miss the days when you typed f**k and the word f**k appeared. f**k has so much more impact than f star star k! 😀

Here's one with substance: f**k THE TORIES

Yes you can pay on the day, but you may have to wait if the buses are full of pre-paid people. Also IIRC they are more expensive on the day, so it's better to pre-book it if you can.
-
Really? I don't remember it being that sparse in 2008! In fact IIRC it was the first time it sold out (obviously with a much smaller capacity than now). Even if I'm wrong, it was a f**king great year - Conor Oberst, Mercury Rev, Laura Marling, Low, Sea Power, Bon Iver, 2 Gallants, Pete & the Pirates, Tindersticks, Jeffrey Lewis & of course Brakes. That was my 2nd EOTR & the one that made me fall in love with the place.
