Ruth & Martin's Album Club by Martin Fitzgerald - he gets famous people to listen to an album they've never heard before and write a review of it. It's much better than it sounds, I can't recommend it highly enough.
-
And now it's time for a 3rd rate Amy Winehouse impersonation! This highlights compilation bears no relation to what I saw last weekend. I'm out - time for bed!
-
FFS, even Neil Young didn't string a song out like Rick Astley has done here! I'm sorry, I don't understand the adulation - it's f**king shite!
-
I've got Virgin media too. It's just some of the stuff is difficult to find, but it's definitely there.
-
It's definitely still there, I've just checked. In fact it says it's available for 11 months, rather than the usual 28 days.
-
Was only watching from home so didn't get the full emotional punch that I used to get when I went, but when QOTSA dedicated the song to Mark Lanegan, I had a moment!

Is Carly Simon performing nowadays?

Grian Chatten album is a thing of beauty. Took me a couple of listens, but now I absolutely love it.

I'm pretty annoyed the BBC seem to be only showing half of The Chicks set on i-player! Was looking forward to watching that again 2 or 3 times before it disappears. They don't seem to have done this for any other acts as far as I can tell?
-
Just watched it back to check if they were really as good as I first thought - Yeah, they were! The best pop act of the last 10 years IMO. I feel like if it hadn't been for their mediocre 3rd album, they'd be playing much later on festival bills. Not headlining pyramid obviously but maybe headlining Woodsies?

Lana del Rey's hairdresser? 😃
-
Another TV watcher here: 1. Chvrches 2. The Chicks 3. Sparks

Aren't you from Australia? Surely it's worse in summer there? Guess you've got AC everywhere in Oz, so maybe you can avoid the heat a bit better than here?
-
2016 was the last mudbath. It will definitely happen again - global warming makes it more likely, not less. It's a myth created by the media that it's always muddy - it's just the dry years will be much hotter!
-
At least you could see watching it on the telly! Judging by the crowd, you'd have to have been there 4 hours before the start to have even been in the same postcode as Elton! 😀

Depeche Mode - that is all (drops mic)!

So, that's that for another year. I'm not ready to call it a night yet though! Sticking the highlights on now. Still got a few sets to catch up on i-player, but my top 5 on what I've seen:- 1. Chvrches 2. The Chicks 3. Sparks 4. Slowdive 5. Leftfield Close runners up:- Los Bitchos, Third World, QOTSA, War on Drugs, Manics. Overall a really enjoyable watch. A bit light on great headliners, but loads of great stuff. Thanks for your contributions the last 3 days - it's been a blast!

So what? Millions of people voted for Trump and Boris - doesn't mean they were right!
-
He certainly used to - my daughter was in love with him when she was 14. Thankfully, she's now a very well adjusted 34 year old who's just had her first child in a steady relationship!
-
Yeah he wouldn't let the whole show be shown on BBC if I remember correctly - they only showed about 6 songs. But luckily I was there, so that's all stored in the memory bank for me!
-
All subjective innit? For me Neil Young the best Glastonbury headliner by a mile, but I know I'm in a minority of one!
-
There were strong rumours that The Clash were talking about reforming before Strummer sadly died. Given Joe's love of the festival, they surely would have!
-
OK, I'm not the biggest Elton fan - I enjoyed the first 25 minutes but I'm losing interest now - time to switch to QOTSA I think.

This! IMO it's not good to have almost everyone on the site in one field & some great acts playing to one man & his dog on the other stages!
