  1. It's an interesting question RE Pyramid headliners who haven't lived up to (personal) expectations. Out of 18 potentials, I've only seen a handful and some of those not even complete sets. I left Neil Young for Q-Tip in 2009. NY was boring the pants off me... Left Muse for George Clinton, in 2010. Both of whom left me unimpressed, sadly. One of the worst ends to a day at Glasto (at least on the main stages) I've ever had. Stevie Wonder was fantastic, 2010. Metallica were brilliant in 2014. Left Radiohead in 2017 for Dizzee Rascal - one of the best decisions I've ever made. GnR and Elton were both awesome this year. So, out of 18 potential headliners, I've only seen 4 full sets (and loved them), 3 were dull and I left. Not the greatest hit-rate. Or in other words, a 38% chance I'll be at the Pyramid and only a 57% I'll actually stay, lol.
  2. Wait until Tame Impala's name gets thrown into the ring, lol.
  3. Difficult decisions require bold calls. Just a shame LDR was late!
  4. Weeknd, Harry Styles, heck, even Robbie Williams would go down better than BM.
  5. GnR were awesome fun. Elton was an all-timer. Only Arctics objectively lived up to their reputation as being dross, going through the motions etc.
  6. Yeah, was more of a parody-predo. Think one punt is fine, e.g. Dave or O-Rod, but together it seems very weak. Foals I don't think would be asked unless Glasto was desperate and no other options were available. Dave/Coldplay/Dua, or, O-Rod/Rhianna/Dua would be better, or something along those lines would be better.
  7. New 2024 predo: Foals/O-Rod/Dave
  8. Just started updating the new sale group spreadsheet. It's a right head-f**k with the option of coaches and normal tickets, lol.
  9. Hi, yeah, will have to check where we're at in our group. Been busy but gonna take a look this week!
  10. I agree. O-Rod reminds me a bit of Taylor. All heartache and breakups. Not a fan, but can see she's getting there or there about for a headline slot. If it was Dave/ORod/Dua tho, feel like that's too punty.
  11. Feel like there's a lot of crossover in genres tbh. Dua seems to be a bit dancier, albeit "dark".
  12. No worries 😅 Always makes me giggle when places call themselves the 'World' something. I used to work in a city in Germany with maybe 500k people there and they called one shopping/business centre the World Trade Centre. There were about twenty firms there and they were all German. There was nothing international or special about it.
  13. In the case of my comment, I think it's a case of "whooooosh!" on your part 😝
  14. Elton didn't come about until the it was noticed the dates were changed, some time after the main sale.
  15. One of those arenas is called the World Arena in fairness, so it's obviously way more, mega, mega important.
  16. I mean, if Glasto (and patrons) can turn a blind eye to Cat Stevens playing after he directly and soberly called for the death of an author and gave the wishiest-washiest excuse for saying it *several* times, would it be that much of a stretch to allow Eric to play, given that he has directly condemned his outburst and recognised he had a drug/drink problem (which he partially blamed his outburst on) and went on to become 30 years sober as a result? In both cases, it's perhaps better to look at the modern man than the sins of his dumb utterances decades ago. Heck, even David Bowie said this - In one (interview), he (Bowie) told a reporter he thought “Britain could benefit from a fascist leader”. In another he said: “I believe very strongly in fascism … Adolf Hitler was one of the first rock stars.”
  17. Yeah. The Mercury Music Prize isn't a great barometer for making it big, the kind of status at least to headline. There's plenty of nearly-men/women on there and a lot who sank.
  18. I'd go Prodigy since Justice were top in 2017 and never seen Prodigy at Glastonbury.
  19. No Pressure?! I'd only need that song and Karl Urban turning up as a special guest and I'd be front and centre.
  20. Prob about as famous in the UK for a meme with Kaitlin Jenner (or whichever Jenner it was) at a basketball game as his music.
  21. There is still time to book Shania Twain tickets for this year. A future Legend's slot act?
  22. I'd never seen those THC vape things before but someone offered me a toke on the Thursday and suddenly I was seeing them everywhere. Thought they were just normal vapes. It's interesting how a bit of ignorance can change your perspective of what's going on.
  23. If there is a time and a place for German schlager at Glastonbury, 2024 is it. Pyramid, third down, Helene Fischer -
