Download have about 7 headliners total who don't have one foot in a retirement home. They'll have a full set of new headliners in 2025 because they won't have a choice.

That new Every Time I Die album is really something isn't it? That, Biffy, and Broco all on one day is just an overload of great stuff, what a weekend.

They aren't all that cheap, The ticket bands jumped up by £20, and another £20 for the camping version in each band. By the time I got lucky they were flogging 4th band tickets at £109 each.

Got lucky this morning and grabbed a pair of the £49 tickets (£60-odd with fees etc.), no camping but I live 20 minutes away so I can just drive home and sleep in a bed haha. No idea who the headliners are gonna be, but I reckon I've easily gotten value out of it already. Had to refresh for 20 minutes or so hoping and eventually a cheap set popped up.

BST would make a lot of sense for The Strokes, they got announced for Lytham Festival as a "northern England exclusive" or some bollocks so a one-off London show sounds about right.

They've been advertising £49 Weekend Camping tickets on Instagram posts since they started the account in August. It wouldn't surprise me if it was the Teen Weekend price (that's the only age bracket I can see on the website) but we'll find out in a week. Even if it was £70 it's still cheaper than Slam Dunk and you get 3 days instead of 1 so I'm still favouring this.

That actually looks pretty good already at £50 for a weekend ticket and they haven't announced any of the headliners yet. Also way closer to me than Slam Dunk so I might look at doing this instead.

The fact they should is exactly why they probably won't, this is Download Festival remember 😛 In terms of big names I don't think they could get a better three than Metallica / RATM / A7X as much as they need a new name in there.

Somehow totally missed Volbeat on the poster, they could easily be someone else, I just picked them because of the Ghost tour.

I'll give them a small reprieve over re-booking Kiss again because they'll have had that signed for years now but they absolutely have to have Ghost, BMTH, and FFDP soon if they want there to be a festival at all by 2030.

I never said they should do both in the same year, just that they should be headlining.

As good as that looks they need to just have Ghost and FFDP headline already.
