Why might we lose this thread?

That's my experience too, that they don't bang it out, maybe not always so down tempo during peak hours though. Whilst it's nice to be able to get in there it's not the place i'd go to see my favourite DJ. The dancefloor isn't that big and it's not got a huge soundsystem like a stage would have. It's mostly full of people sitting round chatting and having a drink.

I got all excited there for a minute, not that there isn't plenty already announced to get excited for 😉

Have I missed an announcement/rumour?

We managed to sneak a couple of people in who didn't have Block9 wristbands late on the Saturday night, they kind of hid behind us and we walked in while the security sidetracked dealing with someone else, but generally they were checking everyone as they went in. I was amazed it worked to be honest.

I have. I had a T&C crew band last year as I was playing a few sets around the festival over the weekend, including at the Green Room Bar which is the T&C crew bar. Early in the festival I asked in Maceo's if I could get some Block9 wristbands for me and some mates so we could get into Maceo's thoughout the festival. They told me the my T&C wristband would get me in whenever, unless they were busy in there in which case they may only accept people with Block9 wristbands. They gave me a batch of their wristbands anyway. I liked it in there, it was a nice to get into a, slightly, calmer place in the middle of all the chaos of Block9.

I saw a post of Facebook the other day that said Oxfam were looking for people, no idea who you'd need to contact though.

Places like the Fluffy Rock Cafe and Avalon Inn put people/bands on who come and ask for a gig once the festival has started and the gates are open, so it's not possible to publish the line up before the festival.

Perhaps better signage directing people to the alternative toilets would help.

There wasn't a Glade stage in 97/98, pretty sure it's first year was 2000.

I'm more of a techno person but if it's a good laugh I may check her out if i'm in the area, which is quite likely as I love The Glade.

Most people are stupid and/or lazy, especially when inebriated. This is not me saying it's ok to pee on the land, there's no excuse for it at all, but if there was more provision for toilets in busy areas they would be used.

Yes. If you park in the purple car parks there's easy pedestrian access to the East CV fields. The queue for Pedestrian Gate C for early car arrivals always snakes through the East CV fields. Just make sure you park on the east side of the festival, otherwise it's a very long walk.

That's good as i've bought them now. I'll have plenty of cider in stock for Bearded Theory, probably a bit for Glasto if I decide to take some - these days I tend to just drink from the bars and just take a decanted bottle or 2 of whisky for my hip flask.

Wasn't there a bar called the Glade Lounge in that area that was between the Spaceport and Spike? Maybe they're moving that to under the trees?

Which brand do you have? I use SIS hydro tabs all the time as I sweat a lot when I run/cycle/swim and they don't taste particularly salty to me, I guess the idea of having them flavoured is so they don't taste salty. I like the Pink Grapefruit flavour the best. They'll dissolve in other juice no problem, but be wary that the clash in flavours might not deliver good results. Not sure about Lucozade, if you have the isotonic version it'll already have stuff in it so it might have trouble dissolving anymore. Tbh if you have the isotonic version you probably won't need to add anything else. Not sure what'll happen if you try to dissolve in the fizzy version either.

Samula looked impressive inside but I much preferred the old Cave, before they opened up the sides and made it less cave-like.

I love the Organic (6%) but prefer the Family Vintage if i'm going to be drinking a fair bit as it's only 5%. Any idea how long this will keep? I'm planning to buy 2 x 10 litres, only 1 will be opened at a time - will the 2nd still be ok in a month or 6 weeks time?
