  1. The Glade, even with no announcements so far.
  2. There was loads of room in all of those campsites right in the north of the site in 2023, Lime Kiln & Hitchin Hill. I walked through on my way to my Oxfam shift on Saturday for 2pm and there was loads of space, if I was camping on site i'd look at going up there - i've been either in CV East or Oxfield for the last 15 years so I bit of a walk isn't an issue.
  3. I'm getting the coach from London at 12:00 on the Wednesday. First time taking a SeeTickets coach, took a National Express back in 1998 - I think that left from VCS, do the SeeTickets coaches leave from the O2? I have mates taking their CVs so will likely get them to take most of my gear, so I should hopefully be travelling light - so more luggage space for everyone else on my coach. Would've liked to have been on site earlier on the Weds but at least i'm going, I have mates that usually come with us without tickets and last year I had to volunteer to go so got to look on the bright side.
  4. If it's the same gate crew that have a team that work on VG5 they were getting fed up by Tom's field last year so I would assume you'd be camping up near there somewhere.
  5. Not sure re most of your questions but the most minging long drops I went to at the whole festival last year were by the property lock up in Cockmill Meadow family camping, there seemed to be poo spread all over the cubicles.
  6. The Avalon Cafe first disappeared for the 2022 festival, although another smaller tent was there on part of the old Avalon Cafe site but called something else and run by another organisation. A tent called Avalon Cafe was back in 2023 in a different position on the northern edge of the Avalon field, don;t know if it was the old Avalon Cafe team who ran it or the team that ran the replacement tent last year. Now it sounds like they've gotten rid of it again.
  7. On the past we've chilled by the vans in the cv fields until 11am or so and gone in then. Usually a little bit of a queue but nothing that's going to take too long.
  8. 1 queue for all first time entrants, whether with kit or not. Seperate queue for re-entry if you've already been in and out of the festival.
  9. What car does she have? Do the back seats split so they can go down with still a back seat to sit on? You should be able to get a reasonable amount of stuff in if they do.
  10. I think they were on at about 8pm, isn't that a bit early for a headliner?
  11. That's my mates' band. I played double bass for them a few Glastonburys ago on various stages around the site.
  12. Get a backpack that has ice axe loops and straps and use them to attach the pole.
  13. They didn't headline Glade, they played in the evening. I left War on Drugs to see them and wished I hadn't. I stayed for 2 or 3 songs then went to see Dave Seaman at the Glade Dome. I get what they were trying to do with their sound, they just weren't doing it very well.
  14. The Sweet did a song called Fox on the Run, if it's the same song it's a massive banger. Admitedly i'm not a massive OCS fan (I do like a few of their numbers though) but what a downer would an acoustic set be as a headliner? Especially if it's raining. It's exactly goona set you up for a night in NYC Downlow.
  15. We have a huge Coleman one, I don't take it to Glasto as it's too big but they do smaller ones. If you charge it up by putting frozen drinks bottles filled 3/4 full of water in it for a week before, swapping out melted ones for new frozen ones when needed, and only putting in cold or frozen drinks when heading off to the fest then it stays proper cold for a good 4 or 5 days. It's worth spending a bit of money to get something decent, I think it was £120 4 or 5 years ago.
  16. On the plus side, you'll all love that extra day at the farm - so it's not all bad!
  17. I love The Glade, my favourite area of the festival.
  18. They used to have the Thatchers cider bars, I quite liked the ones they sold.
  19. Oh yeah I forgot about the drop off point - thanks for correcting me!
  20. Depends what time the shuttle buses from B&W to the festival site start on Weds, I wouldn't have thought there would be much call for them to start before the festival gates open but I could be wrong. It's a fair trek to meet your mates at B&W, if it was me i'd get them to meet me in the festival unless up want to go and have a shower at the CV or something?
  21. I would have loved to have seen the Dead Kennedys, can't remember what I was doing but it must have been something decent to have missed them as I knew they were playing! It definitely wasn't the Foos though.
  22. I'd do what I always do, which is whatever I feel like doing at any given moment, rather than making a great big list of 'must do' items. This will probably involve lots of wandering and a sunrise at the stone circle though and I do like to have one headliner each day that I want to see and then i'd head off to the Glade or Genosys/IICON usually. Not bothered about going to see some act i'm not that interested in on a massive stage just for the sake of it hoping it's going to be some kind of 'moment'.
  23. Going from the post above and my ability to work out how to do it (we also used a similar method in 2000) I wouldn't be surprised if many gave it a try each year. There's no real danger for either person with the tickets and worth a risk for the ticketless person, at worst you'll just not be let in.
  24. I've edited my original post to make clearer. 1 person with ticket leaves with 2 tickets, 2 wristbands (1 hidden somewhere) and gets 1 passout. Gives ticket, wristband and passout to person whose photo isn't on either ticket and uses ticket with their photo on and their wristband and claims lost passout.
