Hi - I have a ticket and am retrying for friends on Sunday, but available to help out tonight. DM or reply with anything I need to know, or do I just pic a pair from the coach tab on your spreadsheet if I get through? I have an northern bias as I'm from Yorkshire so will probably pick a northern departure group if left to my own devices!!

Bags with sides in stacked at corners. Could be getting dressed day?

Is anyone doing Leeds or Manchester 10k's from here? I am entered for both. Manchester is late May and Leeds weekend before Glastonbury! I started running before last years festival, but got struck down with a Gallbladder infection the sunday before the festival and was in hospital with jaundice and on a drip until the friday so missed it all - which was really tough. Got running again and did my first 10k in York in August in just under 1hr 10mins, then slacked off again for months. I've been doing 5k's on and off since January and am now ramping that up to 2 or 3 a week and about to start increasing distance up towards 10k ready for May. Gallbladder was removed in November so that mishap can't happen again so I should be fit for the festival - can't wait. Long time since 2019. No running at the festival, just plenty of booze and wandering aimlessly but getting fitter should mean my 50-something bones can cope!

Tried for James tickets this morning. On sale at 9.30 and See immediately went to unavailable - can't be right can it??. Bagged a couple for York through ticketmaster but could only get balcony and those sold out in about a minute. Loads on resale sites though 🤬

The "I'm going to Glastonbury 2023" thread
Northtim replied to Supernintendo Chalmers's topic in Chat
Missed 2022 despite having a ticket as was admitted to hospital a few days before (Jaundice from gallstone/gall bladder problem). So pleased we got tickets at 10.20 today after having nearly given up. I’ll be back at last and will make up for that ticket I held since 2019 and couldn’t use! Gall bladder removal op later this month so hopefully no bad luck next year! -
Yeah this - something very odd going on. Although another of our group eventually did get through and buy the tickets at 10.20 while I was still stuck in that look. Clicked back and refresh but no way out of it.

Our groups had most of these, although when finally got to the payment screed 20 mins after the sold out tweet that worked OK. Guessing less people were still trying then. The site not being reachable and the holding page (the 20 sec page) freezing or being lost seem like past sales just due to the volume trying. I had the strange loop thing where I finally got through to entering the reg details, click proceed and saw all the names and £50 deposits info but when clicking confirm on that screen it went back to the 20 sec/holding screen. No way to break out of that by clicking back or refeshing. When another in the group got through I expected it to fail as I was still in that loop but they managed to get through to the payment screen and buy OK. Wonder if one or some servers had that glitch which was the tech problem?

Keep trying - just got tickets like 1 min ago!

Yeah - still got this. What the hell was going on. Click confirm on screen after entering regs and it goes to the 20 sec queue screen.

The Strokes at Lytham were brilliant. Crowds were well up for it and I wonder if that helped avoid some of the erratic performances they are reported to have done elsewhere. Great support too - Wet Leg and Fontaines were both really good. Lounge Society on very early and poor sound so didn't do much for me. The Strokes played for about 1hr 20 mins which sounds like is as much as they do. No encore, but JC asked the crowd if they wanted them to go off and come back as they would have had to drop a song and crowd response was just keep playing. Short set and chances of a poor performance make it a risky Glasto headliner, and I'd say their time has passed for that on Pyramid but if they turned up i the right mood it would be good. Lytham Festival a strange one. Half the front of the stage is a seperate VIP area, plus there is a raised up marquee pooposite the stage with sofas and waiter service. We got well in the crowd on the plebs side not too far back after a bit of moshing and it was much better than I expected - really top night. Might have been less impressive further back, it is a strange very wide arena.

Not what I’d listen to or where I would be but Kendrick looks to be putting on a good headliner show from the iPlayer surfing. PSB been on 30 mins and it’s good but where is Chris, getting annoying now.

Delete - wrong thread

Signed it at 19 and this albums last one of the contract so he’s celebrating
-
Think he’s over medicated the stage fright tonight
-
I love Jamie T but he’s taking a while to get going. Should finish strong.
-
Suppose that makes sense but no reason it has to be on BBC1! Messes with my plan for an hours of Macca then Jamie T and rest of Macca later. Filling gap with Girl In Red from yesterday which seems pretty good.
-
It’s not leaving many options for the next hour!
-
Yeah, seen that just now too. Why - very poor if he’s not letting it all be shown live.
-
The live Pyramid stream channel on iPlayer should start at 9.30. Only the main Glasto iPlayer that mirrors bbc tv will be 10.30

Other Stage May just lose its indie wasteland tag with this Metronomy - Glass Animals - O Rod run. Looks a lot of fun there & I hear the repeaters have really improved the sound.
-
Looks like a perfect sunny afternoon band. Really good.

The answer is REM, that’s it!!

Don’t get the Billie bashing. It’s not for me but she is undoubtably huge and big enough to headline. If you don’t like it you head to one of the 100 or so other stages. It’s that simple isn’t it??
