  3. 40% off at Ticketmaster for all the On the Mount at Wasing, unsurprising at it’s in the middle of nowhere. Now £45 for Sigur Ros and Primal Scream days, less for Ben Howard and Gabriels.
  4. I don’t like that maths. I love chocolate, but wish no-one started adding salt to it.

    Avalon 2023

The cafe is no longer, or at least it wasn’t last year: https://www.somersetlive.co.uk/news/somerset-news/glastonburys-avalon-caf-no-longer-7192044.amp
  6. I just take a small tent and crash in it each night 😐
  7. The Co-op by St Paul’s station has the cheese and the sandwiches if anyone is looking, popped by after work yesterday.
  8. I agree, it’s not gonna prompt repeat listens from me. I guess we will see how this works live when they play at Coachella in a couple of weeks time!
  9. It may be unpopular in these parts, but Thursday is a breeze, one less day annual leave, a more manageable 4 nights, and think the Wednesday is very overrated.
  10. Our Tesco also only has toffee apple promo bottles, reluctantly waiting for a flavour that at least one person I know will actually drink.
  11. I don’t think he will play that, very different to be playing the main stage at Glastonbury vs a gig in a 99% Muslim country.
  12. A 2nd night in Halifax has been added now too.
  13. Think they are making up for a cancelled Dundee date previously, and just added an extra couple of dates in.
  14. I was at Calexico, it was lovely, first time seeing them. Yes, crowd was tiny but they still put their effort in. Never much cared for the Stones.
  15. The same will have to apply on the Sunday night too.
  16. Saw Yusuf at Hammersmith Apollo in 2014. Was £100 a ticket each even then, but worth it. They’re all great artists but incredibly long shots I’d say.
  17. I’ll second that Nick Cave at APE was gig of the year! Notable album mention to Pusha T but not changing my list.
  18. 1. Rachika Nayar - Heaven Come Crashing 2. Plastic Mermaids - It’s Not Comfortable to Grow 3. Dead Cross - II 4. Lucrecia - ¡Ay! 5. Father John Misty - Chloë and the Next 20th Century

    The Cure

Same thing happened to us in Prague, the Figurehead was in that position on the set list but scrapped. Anyhow went to the 2nd Wembley Arena show last night with a last minute ticket, as my train still ran. Got 7 different songs and finally got The Figurehead, as well as another favourite of mine, Charlotte Sometimes, so that was nice. Still didn’t quite beat Prague for me, but an excellent night worth the -4 degrees on the icy walk home.
  20. This made me laugh and good for a mostly music based forum. As you were, football fans.
  21. Iggy and the Stooges played the other stage in 2007. It was fine as I remember it.

    Blur

I was at the farm, but waiting for some lame tipi field stage my then gf wanted to see (they ended up playing later than blur anyway). I had Hyde Park tickets for the following week. This was a mistake, as the atmosphere and sound was undoubtedly better at Glasto, and Hyde Park was just ok. But it would never have topped Neil Young on the Sunday for me, being my favourite artist of all time.

    Blur

I guess you choose more carefully when prices are how they are. I work in London so can go straight from there at lunchtime to Bruce, and have never seen him live before so going for it. I’ve seen Blur and Pulp in big outdoor spaces before though, and feel no need to revisit them without new material.
