I’m sure this will have been covered but Example was far too big to have play Glade on Thursday with very little else on. My mates and I tried and decided to bin it off immediately. As we were leaving (heading towards Leftfield) there was a girl on her own, clinging onto the fence, crying her eyes out having a panic attack. A lot of people just carried on walking which is ridiculous but it was caused by the sheer business of that area at that time. My friend and I helped her through the crowd until she was out and she seemed to camp down a lot from there on but it was horrible to witness. Poor girl. Also not really the festivals fault and I know everyone enjoys festivals differently but there were certainly a fair few dickheads there this year. My 2 friends and I were in the pit for Becky Hill and there was a guy screaming “GET YOUR TITS OUT” between every song - as well as a few other even worse things. Then openly smashed some drugs and continued to scream more sh*t. Knobhead.

Also not so much overheard as it was a conversation I was part of but me and my 3 mates all dressed up in sequins etc, I had an Elton jacket on, glasses, full outfits going on. Walking from camp towards Pyramid. My mate said “Do you think this is a bit much for QOTSA?” Tickled me enormously.

I was doing my business in a long drop around 8am when I heard a guy say “Lads I’m gonna have to go to bed, I haven’t slept since Thursday!” (This was Sunday morning) to which his mate replied “Stop being a pussy and do another bump of ket” The pain in his voice when he said “Ok” was hilarious 😅

Can see option 2 winning this by a mile. I would hate to see them go entirely but saw a picture in the other thread of the view from the disabled platform and clearly something needs to be done, never realised how bad it was. I suspect the festival quite like having flags considering they have some on some of their branding etc.

As others have said, we seemingly got lucky with this being this morning and not tomorrow. Soften the ground just enough to make tent pegs go in easier but dry enough for trainers all weekend. I’m also seriously considering leaving the walking boots at home…

Not stayed there myself as we always stay onsite but I get dropped at B&W and have to get the shuttle bus over and have to say they're great. Probably only 10 minutes over to Gate A.

This is definitely true, awful at times last year. Unusable at others. I’ve done similar to others in here and got a Lebara contract which I’ll cancel after the festival.

Yeah I’ve got a pair of Nike trainers too but they’re pretty thin so stops my feet from getting too hot. I’m all for walking boots if they’re needed but absolutely not for a stomp around the site on dry floor. Let’s not even get started on people wearing wellies all weekend when it’s dry 👀

I remain firmly in the “trainers only” camp. I will hear nothing to the contrary.

I'm not sure why after the fisting we just got from the mighty Armenia but will almost certainly be knocking about in my 2016 Wales jersey on a hot day. Trying to talk myself out of bringing the Wales bucket hat to avoid looking like a complete dick 😄

I can confirm with 100% confidence that there will be weather over the festival period if that helps at all?

Having been very much on the fence, leaning towards no, about seeing them in the Friday night… I worked their gig on Monday in Swansea hosting customers and they were fantastic. I’m actually so glad I went as they are a must see for me now.

Well it’s better than the last few years. But the bar wasn’t high was it.

My car thermostat showed 30° this afternoon about 1ish but I’m convinced that has to have been wrong. It was hot and humid but no way was it 30.
