My intentions were to go after AM on Day 1 and I hoped loading the thread they'd be low but I couldn't resist an early cull. Have no feelings either way for Fred Again but felt good to get someone gone early doors!

So I learned not too long ago that the delightful smell you get when it rains after being boiling hot (I assume from the rain hitting the hot floor but who knows) is called Pretichor. And it's both my favourite word and smell. But for Glastonbury purposes I hope we don't encounter it.

These kind of threads scare the life out of me. I guess it’s good they go to these lengths to stop people duplicating tickets etc but it feels incredibly harsh when someone has a legitimate issue like this.

I really am an idiot for not using these. I've never lost anything/had anything stolen at the festival but considering there is a lockup in the field I camp it is pretty stupid not to. Will definitely be using them this year.

I do find it a lot easier to budget with cash so there is that benefit. Far too easy to go on a tapping spree on card 😄

As others have said, I will be taking both. Hoping to use cash more than card but it does become a bit of a pain in the arse when your pockets are full of change.

I am firmly in the "I want sun" camp. However in all honesty as long as it's dry then I'm cool with any temperature. I'd rather have to spend the weekend in a jumper/hoody than a poncho/coat.

It really is quite poor that every year the "official" app is so late. As @Mich1268said, most of us can't be arsed using the app as we've already sorted our lineups on things like Clashfinder or other apps.

Yeah I think we could be in for some Max dominance for a few years yet. It could be worse than when Lewis dominated (by worse I mean so 1 sided it becomes a bit stale). Maybe a bit unfair of me to say but I'm not convinced Norris has what it takes to be at Max level either but hard to say when he is driving that shitbox. You might be on to something with Russell, he looks very quick when given the car. Other than that it's hard to imagine anyone else as champion from the current grid. Certainly doesn't feel like any of the young drives are a future Schumacher, Hamilton, Verstappen (who is still young himself). On another note - how long until Williams just give up? They've been useless for many years now.

Why am I about to put myself through reading this? I feel like I couldn't have been as invested in weather threads back then as surely I would have known the absolute mudbath I was about to be heading to if I had.

Only time I've been searched in my 7 festivals is when I was coming back in on the Thursday helping my friends with their stuff from the car parks. Although it was really quick as all I had on me was a small bag with money, cars and phone in plus a crate of their beer. Every other time I get straight in, probably because we are at the gates for about 5am so are part of the 8am rush. Last year they did briefly set up a searching station whilst the queue was still stationary but they seemed to set that up half way back too so us lot at the front were all good.

Max won with absolute ease yet again. Was good to see the Mercs up there though, they continue to make good improvements. Ferrari. Same as always really and getting worse. Is anyone starting to doubt Leclerc as potential future world champion? I'm not convinced if he's in the same car as Max/Lewis he would compete with them. He still seems pretty prone to mistakes too.
