  1. A few years ago I tried learning to drive a bus. It's really hard. They're fucking massive. HGV even more so
  2. That sounds amazing/awful. I want to watch it just based on the dubbing
  3. Well now you're making me feel bad about buying that F-35
  4. That actually sounds better than What If...?
  5. Well it is a relief when you get a university place after thinking you missed out
  6. Oh, and we've had a bad cold just rip through work this past week or so. Ironically we normally do this time of year because we usually have a load odd uni and school groups staying, but this year we don't have them.still got the lurgy though. Mine started during my last days off and I've been off 4 days this week. I've had worse colds but this one is just lingering
  7. I've been to a couple of 300ish (I think) seater comedy gigs which were sold out but had a handful of empty seats. But nothing out of the ordinary. But Rob Newman was barely half full. And he'd previously sold that room out on his last tour. Or thereabouts. Up until Bond last week I'd been to the cinema a handful of times. Allocated seating and very quiet. The list before Bond was unrestricted but still very quiet. Bond was rammed. The friend I went with lives in Wales and has been a lot more cautious than me. She works in hospitality too but outside of work has taken it slowly. This was her first cinema (or anything like) visit since covid started and she was a bit freaked out when she found out it was full, but eased into it. I think it helped we were on the front row rather than right in the middle.
  8. Oh, aye. The only person I can talk about it with is the person I saw it with. And we were literally checking around to make sure no one was in earshot before talking about it
  9. Shorter makes sense. Some of them have felt ridiculously rushed
  10. Just got back from Bond. Really can't say much but I did enjoy it. Possibly even my favourite Daniel Craig era film. Maybe tied with Casino Royale. For reference I enjoyed Casino Royale, thought Quantum of Solace was a pile of shit (like everyone else), fell asleep during Skyfall in the cinema, which I think is a fairly damning review. I do appreciate I'm in a minority on that score. And quite enjoyed Spectre even though it was a bit daft.
  11. Well yes, that's what I mean when I say always. Superhumans, technological wonders and literal gods. Twatting each other. I enjoy the MCU. But I do find my attention drifting for the later parts of the films
  12. Didn't mind that one. Why does it always just seem to end up with them twatting each other?
  13. Fucking hell. I though my local was bad (only 3 of it's 5 screens open at the moment and showing 6times a day
  14. Half Man Half Biscuit Not comedy musicians like the Concorde but damn funny lyrics. And clever. And poignant. And moving.
  15. I'm quite enjoying Vigil. Don't get me wrong, it's not good. It's very silly but takes itself very seriously which can be a delicious combination at times. If it had a longer run I'd have given up but I can ride out the 6 episodes to what will surely be an infuriating ending.
  16. That'd be a lot in the middle of Countdown
  17. Watched it now and yes, I think you could be right
  18. possibly, don't remember. I know when it first moved to C4 they showed the normal version on a Thursday then the kid friendly version over the weekend sometime on E4. I think now they just put it online
  19. A mistake apparently. 'They do a bleeped version so kids can watch
  20. Ha! Just got back from a gig so not watched yet, but saw mention earlier of the worst task attempt in Taskmaster history so guessing it's that
