  1. A chunk of them will be at The National as well.

    2024 New Music

Lots of interesting releases today and a fair few with a Glastonbury interest Lynks, English Teacher, Nia Archives.
  3. Off to see them in Gorilla Manchester on Saturday night. They are currently touring so check your local listings. In fact let me be true to my name. Here's their dates
  4. TBF he delivered the most scathing anti-Tory speech I saw all weekend so he's alright with me!
  5. Great news! 2 slots hopefully means a main stage set as well.

Vampire Weekend is lovely if you like Vampire Weekend. Could do with some sunny days for it to hit right. I'm enjoying Bob Vylan as well again nothing massively different from them but a decent album nonetheless. @Avalon_FieldsHave you listened to Katherine Priddy's new one seem to recall you were a fan - been out about a month now so not exactly brand new.

    Lulu

Won't click the link but would be up for it. To Sir With Love is a great tune.
  8. Knew I'd seen it somewhere. Roll on Avalon poster up first.
  9. Yes just being cheeky to see if we can get the other names we don' know 😄 You know what they say if you don't ask you don't get.
  10. I think I'd try and do all my favourite things that I already know I love and I might try and do things that I have always promised I would do but have still never gotten around to like making something in the craft fields so I have a handmade memory to take with me. If you want to maybe try and find some of the participation things to do like that big slide by the Greenpeace stage, some of the things they do in the Theatre and Circus fields like the zorbing, light up hula hooping at night. Honestly though I'd just try and soak up every moment of it and make sure you have a lot of fun to look back on.
  11. Avalon I believe in which case yes!!!! I love the Avalon Stage announcement. It always has very random stuff things I love and hate in equal measure.
  12. And Saturday and Sunday Park is?? Pretty please!!
  13. The numbers mean nothing at the end of the day it's the health and fitness that is most important and if you achieved the goal who cares about the number. 1 lb of fat and 1lb of muscle look totally different and occupy completely different amounts of space. I definitely second your appeal for the rain to go away as my main/only exercise is walking I have made so many sacrifices to the rain gods this year. We call it the slope of mild inconvenience with that effort you can call it a mild undulation.
  14. Yes think it was a Vodafone one because you had to be a bit creative and get likes at one point it seemed like there'd only just be enough entries that would meet the criteria to win vs number of tickets on offer Yes those ones will still get a fair few more because the effort is little. Basically anything where you have to put a little more effort in your chances of winning go up so much that the little effort is definitely worth it.
  15. Any competition that you actually have to do something other than buy a product or fill in your details will give you much higher chances of success.
  16. It's elite chocolate but yes it is expensive and odds probably not hugely in your favour.
  17. Am hoping they turn up on the Glastonbury lineup so keep tweeting about them!
  18. I am not certain of dates etc but judging by how well received the lineup for Silver Hayes was last year they certainly seem to be putting a good amount of focus on it which is great. It’s a large area of the festival.
  19. True that could also be a factor although my absolutely banging paneer wrap was bought on a Sunday night.
  20. Same here! If only we had known!!
  21. Think all festival food can have the ability to be good or bad depending on the moment. I remember the first year we went my OH getting some jerk chicken from Clara’s Kitchen and it was the most delicious thing he’d ever had. Went back there later in the festival because he loved it so much. Next time it was still good but nowhere near as good. I had the same thing happen with a paneer tikka wrap. First time it was amazing, every other time it’s been okay but never hit the same heights again. Must be something to do with how hungry you are and your expectation level.
  22. She's not exactly a spring chicken though and if she's giving it her all she might want to rest for a bit after doing it.
  23. Yes I think Silver Hayes next week. Feels like they could be making moves to attract a younger crowd which would be welcome. For that reason I do wonder if Acoustic and Avalon might be after resale.
  24. Yes don't think there's ever been a Sunday night secret set on The Park but the Sunday night headliner is always considerably earlier than the other headliners.
  25. I'd have thought so but they maybe just take a year off lying when they are 17??
