  1. That's the problem the costs have shot up and some are willing to reduce costs for Glastonbury but not all. Fleetwood Mac one of the acts that notoriously were never willing to compromise their pay day.
  2. Looking at the cost of her tickets there could be a reason we'll miss out on her.
  3. I'm probably biased because I love them but I do think they are the most underrated of the 'Madchester' bands. They have always been great fun live as well.
  4. I track so much that I'm devastated if I walk to the front door and realise I don't have my watch or phone on 😄
  5. Always good to see a bigger band in a small for them venue. Just makes everything a little rawer. I saw them at Band on the Wall a few years ago and thought that was the smallest venue I would ever see them at but this was even smaller.
  6. Inspiral Carpets at Amp Stockport. Smallest venue I have seen them in and loudest, sweatiest gig I’ve been to in some time. Very good fun. Clint Boon was clearly enjoying the smaller venue chatting to friends and fans who have been watching them for years.
  7. Yes that's why I said last year they probably could have gotten away with it but this year or next year most likely not.
  8. This is why at this stage I try not to get my hopes up and only have one must see. One year I had 4 they all clashed so I have learned my lesson.
  9. Maybe I read it after the fact as that was the year I returned from Glastonbury with COVID and assumed someone was saying it did happen. I have never been more tired than I was after that Glastonbury so that would make sense.
  10. Depends on your goals as to who can best help you. If it's to get walking fit for Glastonbury I just recommend getting out whatever the weather but just trying to up the step count gradually so take whatever you do now as you baseline and aim to increase it by say 10%.
  11. I definitely saw it and I was sure in multiple places so may not have been on here but I remember reading it and telling Mr Gigpusher that looked like we had missed a moment unless my cheese dreams are getting so vivid I can no longer distinguish between the dreams and reality.
  12. So far I have only one must see and that is Jessie Ware. Clashes at Glatonbury and rubblish timing of her gigs in Manchester mean for one reason or another I have never seen her live. I love her last 2 albums and Saturday night is made for disco dancing. I have a large chunk of would loves but trying not to get too excited about them because whenever I do they all end up clashing. High up my would loves of people I have never seen before is Romy Cyndi Lauper Lankum The Mary Wallopers Newdad Corrine Bailey Rae Avril Lavigne
  13. They definitely could. I imagine they'd be very popular.
  14. Weird I wonder why someone said he did it's hardly the most shocking appearance if he did but I definitely saw someone say it. In which case Fatboy Slim on the Acoustic Stage is still needed. Maybe a collab with Showhawk Duo.
  15. A couple of years ago when they headlined acoustic on the Friday night. I wasn't there but I remember it being mentioned that they'd gotten him on stage and so it was another one ticked off. On that front though I think it would be nice if Showhawk Duo got a spot on the acoustic stage as well. They get so busy on a Thursday now that they would probably be a great opening act for the stage one day.
  16. He made an appearance with Paul Heaton and Jacqui Abbott so that's probably ticked that one off. For Acoustic Stage I'd love to see them do a tribute to Sinead O Connor and Shane McGowan The Staves, Grace Petrie and Katherine Priddy could be a candidate for either stage. Withered Hand with Kathryn Williams might be a possibility as well. They have an album out and are touring in May.
  17. The Farm had self confirmed so I would assume they are on one of these stages
  18. They are not prioritising female acts encouraging equality is not prioritising! The more women have a platform in the business, the more producers, the more bookers then the less chance that men get away with that behaviour.
  19. For anyone who thinks women have an entirely equal chance in the music industry and that the hard work is over please read this article and if you still feel the same after reading it then nothing I could say would ever change your mind! https://www.independent.co.uk/arts-entertainment/music/features/misogyny-music-industry-rina-sawayama-self-esteem-interview-b2508677.html
  20. I'd hope so as I wouldn't want to see any of those and they have all played before. I also think Pulp would for me be better than any of those so on that basis maybe I should change my answer but that's the thing music is subjective. People are allowed different views on it.
  21. That was the one i could remember and the one that Wikipedia got right. It removed their headline appearance in 98 in favour of Bob Dylan it seems.
  22. Bad wikipedia - anybody got edit rights on Wikipedia???
  23. That's where we might disagree I don't think it always has to be someone bigger. I'd like them to get back to where they were in the 90's of one older act and 2 contemporary acts. I actually think the balance this year is better and should be what they strive for. Don't et me wrong if there's a year when you get a chance at an all-timer go for them but I think we have been spoilt by those in recent years and need to get back to adjusting our expectations. I'd rather a bill with depth rather than just brilliant at the top.
  24. Not on the Pyramid which is headliner in my view. I'm guessing they must have been Other Stage Headliner in 1998.
