  1. I’ll always be team flags. It’s part of the festival. The Radio X ones can do one though. Maybe have people apply for permits to bring them in in future years so there’s some control on the numbers?
  2. Yikes, sorry to hear it gang. I’d probably have picked Lana on the night and I’d be fuming to be stood there waiting missing this GnR set.

    Guns n Roses

I’ve always been in the optimistic camp with GnR, and I always thought they’d be great in the field but pants on tv. Well, I’m very wrong. They’re great on tv too.
  4. If she’s playing now, then no.

    Guns n Roses

Rose sounds as good as he has in a LONG time. Civil War sounding mahoosive here

Aye, the whole thing is a bit lost on me. They seem like a band with a total identity crisis - shunning the music that brought them to the dance but not really evolving in the way that the likes of Beatles and Radiohead managed. I respect them for trying to evolve, but I dunno if they’re talented enough to pull off that transition.
  7. Yeah I’m ready for bed, hurry up!

They sound great on the tv. Crowd seems a bit lost outside of the hits but I’m sure it’s loads of fun there in the pit.

She fits any demographic, she’s a megastar.

If you’ve got the spare change, try a European city. Flew through the registration for Madrid and Paris, in over half the time to get through for London.

My first thought on seeing those dates is she’s playing Reading and Leeds. Why is she coming back to London in August? Signed up for Madrid and Paris either way. Much rather head abroad than go to Wembley!

I don’t see her majorly reworking this current setlist for the international dates. This show is what the tour is, it’s not the same Eras tour if you cut 10 songs from it. The expectation has been set for this tour now and unless she’s doing a Big Weekend or something, she’ll be doing this same show with, at most, a handful of songs swapped in and out. I imagine Lover > Evermore sections will remain the same length since she’s never toured those and fans obviously want to see those records live. Maybe the Rep section will be trimmed and a couple Speak Now songs added if that re-release drops soon.

I’m hearing y’all but I still think this show may well end up on the Pyramid. Happy to concede some cuts and some tweaking here and there, but we know Emily is desperate to book her and this is the show Taylor is doing right now. If you trim half an hour off it taking out some of the lesser known album tracks, you’ve got a 2 1/2 hour greatest hits set which is ideal for Glastonbury IMO. Yeah there might be a run of songs that your average Joe isn’t aware of, but I think you just have faith you’ll have enough Swifties there for it to work. Headline sets don’t have to cater fully to every person and their dog, and even Macca drew (ludicrous) criticism for his setlist choice. This is one of the biggest acts in the world on one of the biggest tours ever, getting this on the Pyramid would be enormous for Glastonbury.

I don’t see why she can’t do this show on the Pyramid. We’ve had plenty of recent examples of acts being given however long they want, and Emily is clearly absolutely desperate to get her on the farm. She’ll be given cart blanche. One or two might get trimmed just because it’s not necessarily a hardcore audience, but I see no issue with this show more or less making it to the farm intact.

Jesus Christ. 3 hours is the absolute dream. Can’t have any complaints at all with that setlist, yeah there’s one or two I’d like and I’d rather not see Style shortened, but no chance am I complaining that she’s gone full on fucking Springsteen and doing marathon shows. Bring this on next year!
  16. Not been on here much as it’s a bit painful seeing the buildup when I can’t go this year, but just wanted to swing by and say the lineup looks ace and I‘d be very happy if I had tickets. It’s not the most exciting lineup I’ve ever seen, but there’s plenty on there to make a phenomenal weekend. Slightly gutted to see LDR on there as it obviously rules her out next year, and she was very high on my list after not rolling over in 2022 from 2020. But yeah, I wouldn’t struggle to fill my weekend at all with this lineup.

It’s definitely well up there for me. Including the 3am tunes. I was in the car most of today and had Swift’s full catalogue on shuffle, and the Midnights tunes really stand up there with her best work when you hear them all mixed together.

    Taylor swift

Well yeah that’s the crux isn’t it? Someone worth half a billion quid, claiming to have a deep relationship with her fans, needs to start and act like it and put her money where her mouth is.

It seems like the biggest no brainier piece of legislation to pass that tickets can only be sold for face value and through verified sites. But as with so many things this is the issue with politicians being in the pockets of big corporations. But again, Taylor, Bruce, Damon etc.etc. need to be speaking out on this. Pressure from the artists will be much more effective than from fans.

Isn’t a lack of surprise the whole gist of my comment?

Swifties vs. Ticketmaster needs to be Swifties vs Swift. Taylor has the power to change this. She generates more money for Ticketmaster than just about anyone - if she puts her foot down on ticket prices and dynamic pricing, they would follow suit. They wouldn’t have a choice, they are nothing without artists. We all know what Ticketmaster are about, what’s happened this week was utterly predictable and the fact she’s remained silent on it is pretty disgraceful. To outright cancel a general on sale without comment from the artist is a shocking look. I hold out hope that she could be someone to speak up on this, and her position in the industry would put her in prime position, but her record as a sizeable cog in the capitalist machine doesn’t bode well.

Taylor needs to stop taking the piss with her private jet, and stop rinsing her fans on merchandise and ticket prices. Don’t think any fan would disagree with those statements, and there will be a lot of criticism over here once ticket prices are announced. She just also happens to be one of the greatest singer songwriters of all time, but life is complicated and you can praise someone heavily for one thing and disagree with other things.

I believe the last Radiohead show at the cricket ground in Manchester had this.

Ugh can we please start a govt petition to ban golden circle nonsense? It’s the absolute dirt worst. It does continue to make festivals look the most appealing place to see an act, though.

Surely Pulp > Blur b2b is on the cards for Glastonbury?
