Don’t think we’re certain either way yet. She could be doing outdoor shows in August. an indoor arena tour in the fall or nothing until 2024 but we’re just waiting to see.

I really don’t think so for a Glastonbury crowd. Yeah it’ll be busy and a great atmosphere, but she doesn’t top Macca in the context of Glastonbury. No chance.

People camped out for Macca and I still managed to worm my way to a great spot in the pit. Doubt you’d get the same level of sweeping anticipation and sheer crowd size for Taylor tbh

That’s precisely why I want to see Taylor at Glastonbury specifically (or any festival really). All seated stadium shows are possibly the worst context to see an act live, and the most expensive too.

It’s not her best record but it’s in that second tier for sure. Some all timer tunes that make a best of comp (Maroon, Anti Hero, You’re on Your Own) and the rest is really solid stuff. You can’t really ask for more on someone’s 10th record IMO.

Really hope she does a chunky 2 1/2 hour set. If Bruce and Macca are doing it in their 70s/80s, Taylor surely has to start doing it with the back catalogue she has. It’s doing her own music a disservice to trim it down to 2 hours or less.

Could be South America and Asia/Australia over the fall/winter and Europe in the spring/summer 2024 then?? Those Pheebz dates are so tempting. If they were a month later I think that would be our honeymoon.

Yeah I think there’s plenty of time in August/early Sept to do a smattering of UK stadium shows and then hit Europe + festivals in 2024. Agree it would seem strange to tease presale codes and a tour announcement coming soon on G Norts only to skip the UK entirely next year. She obviously could skip us next year, she could be doing anything, and I’m sure there’s precedents of acts teasing presale codes etcetcetcetc but I’m this instance my hunch is she plays here in some form or fashion next year.

It wasn’t a “bizarre” assumption when Emily said “we think we’ve got her when she next tours”, and then it becomes clear she’s touring. On the contrary, it was the natural assumption to make…

I remember you posting about Beyoncé, can vouch for that. You also posted about the midnights alias booking a few months back too.

Could be more shows in CA (San Diego?) plus AZ and NM dates that could be missing? Maybe even a show in Mexico? I imagine plenty of those shows will end up being duplicated when tickets start to sell and it’ll fill in pretty quick.

Don’t a lot of those massive US stadia have roofs though?

If she plays Wembley in August and doesn’t play August she doesn’t understand her fanbase after all.

Just hard to imagine here doing arenas though. If she’s doing 10 nights at the o2 I’d be all over that and seeing her in a more intimate venue than Wembley, just seems hard to imagine.

I wouldn’t worry about Taylor souring on Glastonbury. I think the value in that show is clear and outweighs the lower pay day. She’ll turn up in the next few years. And even if she has soured on it, momentum will swing back down again. We will look back and see this as a good thing when she’s doing a greatest hits set in the Pyramid with two hours of concentrated bangers.

We’re looking at honeymoon ideas atm and have to say, going back to California and doing those shows is hella tempting. Im not sure she’d be doing arenas over here though? I think a run of Wembley dates late August might just be it tbh. And those dates definitely make me think there’s a second leg in 2024 including all the festivals. Which I think might work out best for Glastonbury anyway since she would likely expand the setlist away from the Midnights focus. Quietly very relieved inside tbh at all this. Glastonbury is a no go next year for us now so bring on Taylor 2024 ✌️

Staggering records there. After a week of listening to the record, it really is an absolute triumph. Gets better and better with each listen. I don’t think it’s her best but it’s certainly in the conversation for best of the rest behind Folklore and 1989 for my money. I actually think it might be her most coherent and tight record after 1989.

Pulp subbing the Pyramid would be one of the greatest bookings in the history of the festival IMO.

It’s a total hunch but I’m wondering if it’s a two legged tour with stadia next summer and then Super Bowl, Coachella and all the big European festivals the year after.

As a *larger gentleman* myself, and one that tries to be socially conscious, that scale thing didn’t ring any alarm bells at all. It was clearly tied to eating disorders and media harassment. But if it upset some then fair enough, and it’s been rectified *very* quickly. I do feel though as if that tweet is intentionally missing the point, it clearly wasn’t a fat shame thing and it feels like a bit of a pile on which isn’t really the best way forward here. There’s also an element of it which is telling those with eating disorders how they should feel, what they should say and how they should act, which I don’t think is appropriate to do to anyone with any disorder. My fiancé is a petite, in shape person but she sometimes says she feels fat, and I don’t take that personally as fat shaming me. She can’t help how she feels.
