Oh yeah definitely, it would be a pretty horrible idea IMO. I just didn't think the FAQ was clear in the slightest and it was vague enough to make me think it could be possible. I like the idea of limiting it as much as possible so every genuine fan (as much as that can be judged!) gets a shot at seeing her once on this tour. They've made some effort to do that, so hopefully as many people with a pre-sale and main sale code are successful!

Yeah that's my thinking. The registration/pre sale codes gauged the demand and they've reacted to that. There won't be any surprises from now in terms of the "overwhelming demand".

I had a back and forth on Reddit with someone as that was my reading of the FAQ, but they were adamant the code was used up after the first transaction, even if it's for less than 4 tickets. Didn't seem to get anywhere yesterday on who was correct. Is there something concrete to suggest you can spread the tickets? If so, I'd go for two seating right away to get tickets confirmed, and then keep trying for some golden circle ones at another show if they're available.

I don't tend to go in for these uber-demand gigs so I might be really naïve, but I thought this presale would be the better shot for tickets, especially now they've staggered the on sale times so heavily. If you're game for any venue, having 12 goes at logging on for tickets seems like very good odds, but I might be eating my words next Friday 😄

This is the line ”Please note, there is no guarantee that a general on-sale will occur. Any future ticket on-sales will depend on the availability of ticket inventory.” Interesting I’d say. Might mean nothing ultimately, but can you imagine if there’s no general sale after all the registration stuff? The benefit of the midnights sale is it’s (largely) limiting tickets to actual fans, and you can see clearly they’re trying to reduce the amount of scalpers for this show.

Not to be picky but I was hoping there’d be better seats in the pre sale than just the nose bleeds!

I dunno if there’s anything to this or not, but the FAQs have a specific line that there’s no guarantee the general on sale will happen after the pre sale. Is that a standard line to include? Kinda suggests they’ll sell as many tickets as they can during the pre sale but it might just be typical wording to cover themselves..?

Do we know the deal with dynamic pricing? I’m assuming it’s off given the enormous PR own goal it’d be but I’ve not seen anything for certain.

Oh and if that’s correct and golden circle is £150, that seems pretty fair to me and really surprising. Felt sure it’d be £200+

I read a rumour that they were doing all standing and wasn’t so sure, but seems to be the case. Interesting move, although given how far the stage comes out, you’re going to have a pretty good view wherever you’re stood. What are people’s thoughts on this presale? I’m going to be trying for every venue, and seeing we have 12 goes at tickets for 16 dates makes me think there’s a strong chance, but I’ve no idea how many tickets will be available and how many have presale codes? They’re clearly trying to maximise the number of fans getting tickets but the demand is absolutely mental. I don’t tend to do many stadium shows, but this feels like one of the most in demand tours of all time? Also, Speak Now TV sounding musically like the most different from the original thus far. Particularly the guitars - lots of extra flourishes.

We just got given a decent wedge of honeymoon fund after our wedding and honestly, had I not ran out of annual leave I’d be all over that LA show. With a hometown Haim set too!

I wish I’d done those Austria ones too, not sure why with hindsight I didn’t do all the cities 😂 but never mind! I’m going to manifest Paris night 1 of the european tour. Surely after the Swift saga going back to the 2020 cancellation we’ll all get our tickets..??!

I’ve got Paris and Madrid as my main choices to piggyback a holiday around them. Madrid feels a bit strange with the one date, surely more to come there? The venue in Paris is much smaller than the other stadia so I think the atmosphere there could be incredible, IF I can get anywhere near tickets!
  14. Yeah it's a struggle to see that show hopping from Dublin to Glastonbury overnight. There's been 3/4 days between each location across this entire tour. The wait goes on I suspect...😑
  15. Taylor is in London that day (or Dublin, have the dates been confirmed yet for the next festival?)
  16. Surely with 8 million registrations it reaches the point where it's futile adding extra dates 😂 That's insane. Be interesting to see how this registration thing works out. Seems like a decent idea to gauge the demand in advance and be more proactive with it, but we'll see. Still needs better scalper protection.
  17. Not really up on who’s potentially about next year but names springing to mind would be Florence, Miley, Madonna(?), or maybe Taylor fell through recently when the U.K. dates were confirmed and there’s now only 1 female booked so far?
  18. The more I look at those dates and think about what the Eras Tour looks like, I just don’t think Taylor is doing it next year. I think she’s pencilled in for the next tour in a few years time when she does a wider festival run. When these tickets go on sale she’ll add extra dates which will unfortunately rule out Glastonbury I reckon.
  19. Not sure why some people are so salty here tbh. The festival has looked incredible and I’m gutted to not be there. AM were a wet fart but that’s about the only thing that’s looked disappointing, and I’d have been at Hot Chip anyway! Lots of “back in my day chunter chunter” acting like the festival hasn’t been like this for a long time now? Glastonbury stays on top by moving with the times and not standing still. It’s not the fault of the festival if it’s passed you by.

    Lana Del Rey Curfew

Ugh what a mess that was. Gutted for those in that field. If I were there I’d have picked Lana that night and that would have absolutely soured the festival for me particularly seeing Axl on time and GnR put on a great show. I just don’t get it really. She came out the pandemic as one of the real winners, pumping out some incredible music at a rate of knots, then to finally get to share that music with your fans and treat them like this? She’s absolutely incredible but that type of attitude doesn’t cut it in 2023. Her live performances, vocal issues and poor stage presence in the past, and now this punctuality mess at the biggest festival in the world just really hold her legacy back. Just a massive shame especially since what she did manage to do sounded absolutely incredible and the best she’s sounded live IMO.

    Guns n Roses

Maybe I’ve just been following them more closely in recent years and more familiar with their usual performances, but I think Axl sounded genuinely pretty good by his recent standards. He was far from awful from what I saw on TV but maybe it’s just expectations going in.
  22. it’s a good night for potentially ropey sounding vocalists pulling it out the bag.

    Guns n Roses

GnR belt out their classics, all of them, as you’d expect to hear. Arctics skipping a load and then intentionally playing the rest in a way that makes them unrecognisable to purposefully avoid a sing along is the difference.
  24. Here we go. Uphill battle already through it feels like.
