I’m really glad you mentioned this as my ill children related sleep deprived brain read that the cinema style stage was firmly rooted in sound system culture and I thought it didn’t really fit.

It’s like me moaning about Avalon or Croissant Neuf, I’ve got no clue about those stages really as they arnt aimed at me so I just keep quiet. But that’s the issue with this forum at times and certain types of music.

Idk, this seems like a chance for a big win for them with the public and even the most dyed in the wool anti-immigration tories don’t seem to want to oppose it that much so I don’t really see what intentionally slowing things down gets them.

Going to watch Jagwar Ma in John Peel in 2013 on the basis of listening to them once or twice and seeing lots of hype about them. That kicked started a very excellent but all too brief love affair with them and they are linked to a few of my favourite Glasto memories. Others are wandering on my own to see the gaslight anthem in 2009 and we know how that finishes. As well as going to the Park in 2010 for the secret set. A more recent one is committing to watching all of Stormzy instead of ducking out to watch some of Interpol.

The Eavii really are wonderful human beings. And what else needs to be said about the state of the people in charge of our country. Not one of them could find their arse with both hands.

I don’t know if time clouds people’s memories but this isn’t true. 2016 was the worst year I’ve ever been since 2009. In 2011 the rain in the queue wasn’t brilliant but I’d take that over 14 hours sat on a coach like 2016. The mud was quite sticky and deep in 2011 for a few days but not as bad as the relentless slush surface type stuff of 2016 which is very slippy. It was glorious on the Sunday in 2011 and you could get away with trainers in parts. 2016 was just horrible all weekend.

I’m pretty certain that dog on entrance to the zig zag in 2017 was an explosive dog as it was not long after the arena bombing. But it was red hot and the dog was fit for nothing.

Sorry I got that wrong. In 2019 Guiity pleasures was on Williams Green on Thursday night, it was ultimate power and yacht rock which was in the day.

Pretty sure there’s a guilty pleasures night at Williams green on one of the days and they might do an hour or two in the day on Thursday as well.

They do normal tents with porch's as wel, but Im unsure of what person they go up to. Mines 3 berth.

The rave tree in the greenpeace field is a decent vibe and can be a bit of a stop off if you wanna wait for the crowds to die down in the SE Corner. And obviously the crows nest is a great place for some late night bands and DJs

I’ll endorse the Glastocast, only just got round listening to the last two (volunteering and Luke from Greenpeace) due to not being able to face anything Glasto related for two years. But they were both fantastic and I could have listen to Luke all day. So yeah, Glastocast for any first timers and I’m very jealous as it’ll both your head off.

I was amazed at the Savile documentary and the sheer amount of clips of him essentially saying he was a monster and people just saying 'oh Jimmy you are a card.' Then at the end everyone saying 'oh we wern't to know.' Especially, his Jim'll Fix it producer, find it ridiculous that he hadn't seen anything on the show. The ladies testimony at the end was heart breaking as well. After finishing Top I've gone back round and started Summerhouse again.

I think the text message thing was useful when everyone took everyone took burner phones. But now with everyone using their smart phones all weekend just set up notifications for that account and a few others and you’ll be fine. But if you just use a burner phone for the festival set up the ITTT thing.
