  1. John peel tent - girl saying to her mate when the announcer came on to introduce next act “That’s John Peel “
  2. Was quiet and car park right next door and stewards to help carry stuff. I believe you could also hire bedding etc in some of the bigger tents. The pod pads looked tiny and had no windows so looked abut small. We had a 2 person Bellepad £395. But there were only 3 water points. I hadn’t realised how far it was to walk anywhere (mobility issues) so couldn’t just nip back for a rest etc. Handy for Park, Other and Arcadia.

    Crowd Etiquette

Walking about with a stick ( slowly) people were generally kind and helpful and got out the way and helped me up from sitting down. I put lights on my stick so in the dark people could see me. In the crowds at and between stages some people did barge by but generally were kind. Dickheads were those who set off smoke bombs/flares in the crowd, those that just talked loudly in the middle of sets and were coked up and those that insist on sitting in the middle of a crowd just before the band comes on and not getting up.
  4. Due to mobility issues we booked Sticklinch- always camped in Kidney Mead before but I couldn’t face the walk from car parks. So pros were car park in the next field and people to help carry your stuff to your tent and flushing loos. Cons were it being so far out so we didn’t go back to tent for a rest, a drink and to get warmer clothes when it got cold and had to take stuff with us all day. I only just about made it back and forth with my stick and wasn’t able to carry chair etc. ended up cold and exhausted every night plus I got ill with Covid. So didn’t enjoy everything Glastonbury had to offer and not sure I could manage it if still incapacitated. Will probably try for tickets but may opt out nearer the time.
  5. That’s what I thought- that it was Glastonbury cough but had to test as I had a medical appointment tomorrow and it was +VE straightaway.
  6. So I developed a bit of a cough on Saturday night - just got home and tested positive for COVID 🙄🙁
  7. Definitely too cold at night though!
  8. It’s does seem really really busy everywhere - but I thought that last time in 2019 as well- I think it’s all the extra staff/volunteers/artists etc and they did apply for more capacity tickets for the whole site. We are in Sticklinch this year so have a slightly different experience to usual but I took the long way round to get back to avoid Arcadia last night. I did hear bloke telling his mate on the phone walking through the campsite “l’m in I climbed over” - I don’t think he realised he hadn’t reached the big fence yet and the security there! 😂
  9. Official weather report for Friday night - it’s f***king freezing 🥶
  10. Yes only the ticket holders can collect their tickets as they will need to check ID etc.
  11. How are they arriving? If the people who need to collect their festival tickets from the box office gate A are coming by coach or bus that’s fine as that’s gate A- they collect their festival tickets and walk through the site to Sticklinch. You can email them the bar code for the tent so they have that and you can meet them either at Gate A or at the Sticklinch gate. If they are coming by car to the Sticklinch car park then I believe there is a collection point car park at the box office. Or if not they may be able to walk through the other car parks ( orange etc) back to Gate A where the box office is. Best bet is to ask one of the stewards when you arrive and pass the information on. But you can’t collect their festival tickets- they have to do that themselves.
  12. Well it’s been a roller coaster ride 😄 Well done everyone for sticking through ( including @The Nal ) it’s been 3 years so I think we all deserve a well earned pint in the fields after that! so in summary it’s ☀️☀️🌥🌤🌦
  13. Sterling work from the whole family - have enjoyed the daily reports and Arlo’s pics. Thanks Dee - hope you all have a great festival - glad Big Dog made an appearance at the end. 😀
  14. Not sure you can collect tickets for anyone else as they will need to show iD don’t they? Are they coming later or are with you?
  15. Am in middle of packing so currently have: 1) hot weather pile 2) wet weather pile 3) cold weather pile 4) emergency dry/clean pile to leave in car. Will add and remove probably at least 10 times between now and leaving Weds morning depending on weather forecast 😀☔️☀️ I have found a practically new pair of walking boots I forgot I had at the back of the wardrobe so am throwing them in car along with the wellies especially as my walking shoes needed glueing this morning 🙄
  16. Made a list of all the things I have forgotten 🙄 for last minute shopping trip. Then need to get into loft to clean up some camping bits that are covered in dust from having a chimney taken down. Sleeping bags are all washed and packed away ready. Replacement trolley wheels being put on trolley today 😀 haven’t packed yet though!

A lot smaller! 84 I got in for free and just went for the day. 86 I camped - we pitched the tent next to the car! No flags!

Ah the memories- 84, 86, 95, 97 ( yes the mud was as bad as it looked!) 98, 99 - 2000 - was definitely frightening at times- only time I felt unsafe.
  19. Not gonna lie - had a little tear up 🥲
  20. Try one of these twist up stools - has long and short strap and is small and light.
  21. All to play for now 😀 am leaving the wellies in the car I think
  22. These are making my mornings brighter each day. Between this and the weather thread roller coaster the excitement keeps building. 😀
  23. Given we have all paid Seetickets/RM for special delivery which should be signed for its rubbish that tickets are just being posted through the door. Ours arrived today but were just posted through the letter box of communal flats - didn’t even try to ring the buzzer which was especially annoying when should have been in office and stayed at home to wait for a signed delivery! They might as well just stuck a stamp on it. I hope the missing tickets gets sorted.
