    2024 New Music

Yep, what a voice! 'Refuge Cove' was alright but 'Storm Queen' was one of my favourite albums of 2022 and I am loving the new one so far. Got to be in the mood for her but when I am, she reaaallly hits the spot. 'Everybody's Somebody' is so so strong.

And yeah, Khruangbin and Vampire Weekend are doing Khruangbin and Vampire Weekend things and those things are always good things.

Agree with the Waxahatchee shouts - she has racked up a seriously impressive back catalogue now. Not a duff album but still continues to outdo ourself. Took a while to arrive but the new Grace Cummings album came today and is amazing as well. 'Everybody's somebody' massive song. Gutted I cannot make it to either Waxahatchee' or Grace Cummings' gigs this summer - such good value for such awesome artists.
  4. Can't imagine any names will be given but if the 3rd headliner has been finalised and it is SZA or O-Rod, I could see her saying that they have 2 female headliners plus legend, which would of course corroborate info we have.
  5. Another ✅ for 'Things the Grandchildren should know'. Amazing read.

Nadine Shah early contender for album of the year, I reckon...

    2025 Headliners

Biffy Clyro were the Mark Webber / Felipe Massa of Glastonbury and the 1975 are the Sergio Perez / Valtteri Bottas.. not half bad, but got 'nearly' tattooed on their foreheads

    2025 Headliners

Nah, 1975 will do a Biffy. Could they have headlined? Probably. Did they? Nah. Sam Fender and Dave I reckon will.

    2025 Headliners

Agreed, but things move at a very quick pace. 5 years ago, none of us had much of a clue about Billie Elilsh, or Dave, or Sam Fender, and Dua Lipa was playing the tent. Things move quickly. In 5 years Olivia Rodrigo may have missed the boat and we are talking about the next new upstart. Bands like Foo Fighters / Coldplay / Arctics will always be in the mix but who joins them will always be fluid. I think Billie / Macca / Kendrick was one of the best mixes of headliners they've ever done. In 2017 that would have sounded pretty feeble...

    CMAT

Never mind the buzzcocks, Graham Norton, Jools Holland... Well done CMAT. Tonight in Brighton, smashed it out of the park too. She goin' places.

    CMAT

Highlight of the festival for me too. Was ready to head over on my own, managed to bring that whole team, and now all 10 of us have bought tickets to see her again. Shame it wasn't televised as I think that could have blown her up. I Wanna Be A Cowboy was THE moment of the weekend.
  14. Where have you seen which gigs have been moved?
