Went out last night. The guy I've liked for an age was there. He came over and talked to me like nothing had happened, like we were best friends. He was so so nice to me, which was lovely. One of his mates who's usually a bit cold with me was super nice as well, but I think he was just terribly drunk.

And then when that conversation finished, Cheltenham's slaggiest uni student LooLoo came over and threw her drink over me. Her full drink. And when she'd done that, she threw my nearly full bottle of Desperados on the floor. Apparently because she thinks I slept with a guy she got with a few weeks ago. Which I didn't. But throwing her drink at me seemed a better solution than asking me about it, obviously. And then she got escorted out by security.

And then I, in my terribly drunken state, burst into tears because slagwhore ruined my night and the guy I liked was being so damn wonderful and I got overwhelmed. And all these guys I didn't know were being all defensive and offering me hugs and such, which was nice. And then I went home, crying.

I've been away for four day without internet, not gonna trawl through the thread but I assume Markee has requested advice on 7 or 8 girls in that time? Girls who he's not sure he likes, well they seem nice enough except they're boring so he does all the talking or they are incredibly racist or may be cheating on him or did a shit on his face whilst he slept etc?

Anyway, just walked through town. Freshers...

I was trying to get everytihng sorted, bought some wineglasses..we didn't have any, only have pint glasses/those glasses for spirits and mixers - and bought Twilight on DVD - she LOVES the film, and someone stole her copy - so we were going watch Twilight, get a takeaway and have some wine

Just ask her what type of bloody Blossom Hill she likes. What do you think she'd prefer? You ask her and get the right kind or keep some sort of pride you've deicided goes with not asking a girl her specific drink choice (that you've made up in your head), guess and buy the wrong kind and she doesn't have as good a night?

In that case, just ask her anyway. I'm sure the night won't be any less special if it isn't a surprise. I'm sure the specialness of the night is that you too can spend time together and that's the most important thing. Everything else would be a bonus. :)

A bigger surprise is if she shows up and he hasn't bought her any booze at all. sweet? :P

wow, you don't realy know me do you?

I can understand that yes. I think the fact he's having her for dinner and planning a nice evening in itself will make her realise how romantic he's being. I don't think asking what type she'd prefer will in anyway take away from the evening if they are in fact so into each other. How is asking her what type she'd prefer take away from the romance? Surely it's more romantic making sure she has the type she realy likes? Unless you're just digging for a response ofcourse.

'girls' are different to one another just like 'men' are different to one another. Every 'person' acts in different ways to one another. I can't see this as a bad thing at all. If his relationship is going to fall apart on a type of wine then there's something wrong there.

I don't see girls as being petty. Maybe that's your problem?
