You're well aware of Ferrari's, yes? Well, I'm giving you the concept that makes the Ferrari what it is. The Ferrari being the contemporary books you read, the art you see, etc. I'm explaining the basic contemporary concepts they use in their art that you see everyday.

Essentially, culture.

I would know one if I saw one, yes. I could describe a Ferrari adequately well by referring to certain characteristics, using the words which are normatively used to define those characteristics...

All superficial.

You could tell me about many art projects and books you've read I'm sure. And you'd be right. But you wouldn't understand the concept that inspired them all.

No. I'm showing you the concept. The Ferrari is a metaphor for the books you read and the art you see, which is a result of the concept's I'm disclosing.

But "A sweet smelling rose" in my head could be "una rosa dolce". If you said either, I would shut my eyes and remember the deeply satisfying smell of a couple of american beauties I once had round the back of my shed.

No, I've just not got an axe to grind against him and spend my life trying to pick apart things he's posted. I've had blazing rows with him in the past.

Thing is some people can let things go - I have rows with certain people on here and then it's forgotten about. With any luck I've learned something new, or come to respect another's opinion. Some other users are spiteful and just can't get over things - and then spend ages on some kind of perverted revenge. I had actually put you in the previous camp. Maybe that needs re-evaluating, but without having seen the thread in question it's a bit hard to say.

Worm - una rosa would signify (in my head) una rosa, which my head knows is the same thing as a rose. Unless it's being used as an objective in which case my head knows it's something pink. I don't translate it in my head to rose and then work out what a rose is. Does that make any sense?

    • Audrey Hobert getting a lot of traction lately and new single on Friday. Wonder if she could be round next summer.
    • Think Pulp are optimistic, not in terms of size but just that they've been on the road (albeit not intensively) for 3 years in a row and it feels like EotR is the deliberate end of the cycle.   Would be fairly surprised if they're active next year.
    • 👍 plus they brought their own screens 📺 either side of the stage.
    • Production was the only thing that could even explain why she would back out. Like they had sorted out the financials and she was fine with it and then a production meeting happened. It all fell apart. It was very clear that she was not going to compromise her show one bit and then that show in Brazil pretty much confirmed it. There was like one element they couldnt pull off outdoors, but it was negligible since the rest was a carbon copy of the tour she had been on. Glasto is not willing to make any bold changes on the Pyramid stage so then theyre kinda stuck in terms of what some acts want/demand. I think the easiest solution to that is putting her on Friday. You deal with the changes for one night and then re configure for the rest of the weekend. In 24 they were fortunate to have had Dua and Coldplay on Fri and Sat so they could both use the b stage. But I think it was removed for Sunday?     I saw a random rag article earlier that said Olivia Dean turned down Glasto BECAUSE her ex ( not even confirmed dating ) Harry Styles was playing the fest. hahahaha
