Sexy sexy sexy like-minded men (or women in your case). It can't get any better than at a festival. Plus, you see people at thier worst (or best, depending on how you look at it).

Kinda gettign a bit bored of being single, well don't mind being single but missing some of the good parts of being in a relationship (not just the doinking :( )

Never really thought of a festival for meeting women. Always thoguht most folk are in their own wee groups and also after couple days of not washing not really that good an idea to get too close!

I have a wedding on Saturday (oh the joys, I hate weddings!) and am taking a female friend with me as needed a partner. We are just friends but I think she maybe wants a bit more, but I dont, she isnt really my type. But after a lot of free wine then I could do something that I shouldnt :( esp as I will be wearing my kilt so will be irresistable to her :( hoping for some nice bridesmaids though.

I'm going to a gig with a girl like that tomorrow, I was a little worried about it until about 5 minutes ago when I got a text from my loud and slightly obnoxious (but in a barable way!) mate asking if I still had a spare ticket! Should ruin the chances of any awkward moments that could potentially be misconstrued as romantic! :(

Hmm... I generally attract little interest when I'm at my best... Though I'm not 100% certain what my best is... It's a tricky one... Maybe it'll help at Download that I'm camping with a hairdresser, ,maybe she can keep an eye on my appearance, and will probably have magic products to keep the hair sorted :(

That didn't sound at all camp :D

Exactly! I like the slight ego boost i get from thinking someone's interested. If I found out otherwise my self-esteem would be back down to zero!

Could I say in Master Culty's absence ('cos it's the kind of thing he'd say), that if your self esteem is based upon the way other people view you, you are f**ked anyway, sir.

It's called SELF esteem, Sir... You don't need the confirmation of others! Stand up, look in the mirror, say "phwaor" and get out there and scare the little girls with your "Pantaconda!"

Yeh, don't think you're special, everyone on my phone list got messaged. I wouldn't say it's classed as stalking untill you find me outside your window at night. We're hoping to get somewhere upto 150 people coming along. There were about 80 people for the last one which was just a one day event, so hopefully there will be more for a 2 day camping doo.

You misunderstood me my friend, I was the one doing the stalking, by guessing it was you who text me when I didn't have your number saved.

I quite like the idea of hooking up with people who usually live miles away that the chances are you won't see again... You know exactly where you stand and it's just that moment that matters.

    • It would be piss-easy for a bot to manage, though.
    • I've heard that ticket sales for other events that use the same system have included the question 'are you still there?' on each window/browser you have with a place in the queue. If you don't confirm you are, it'll assume you're not and that place will drop.   I've no idea if Glasto/See will adopt this, but it would be challenging to keep on top of with many windows open.
    • People who're struggling are already priced out, so I don't think a bump in price will affect who attends. There'll still be a cross section, leaning young. I also think they'll do a soft breaking of the £400 ceiling, keeping the ticket price just below but having postage take it over. Next year the ticket itself will be over that threshold.

    • Not sure if this has been mentioned but new La Roux album out November - was meant to play in 2020 but hasn't found her way back onto a lineup. If any excuse just to hear this absolute banger on the fields next year!
