I haven't been out out for weeks now, months infact. I don't feel like I'm missing anything like.....as I've mentioned in another thread, today I spent £60 on cds and a couple of dvds. I would easily spend that on a night out and have nothing to show for it apart from a couple of numbers in my phone I'd never have any intention of phoning once sober..........

Instead I can now get to know the Pixies and Zutons better, and go back to my younger days with Cranberries and Blur cds. I also got a bootleg Joy Division cd and since I like that new Elbow song I decided to give their old stuff another listen.

All that for £60 plus two of my favourite films on dvd?? Yeah, much better than I night out on the pull I reckon!!

Oh, I got Bloc Party's most recent one too, special edition with dvd and live versions on....just because it was muchos cheapness.

I'm a happy chapess :)

hehe no worries i have enough on my plate as it is...

Had a date on tuesday with a guy i met at a gig a couple of weeks ago. It went very well but i'm not that interested though he is very cute. Then last night i went out with a guy i used to work with and ended up having a very lovely snog on my doorstep as he drive me home. Bless! This one might be a goer but i'm not sure. Then i'm out with the girlies tonight to our local rock pub so i might find someone to boogie with there. I do seem to be on a bit of a roll yay!

Perhaps its because of my similarity to beth ditto :(

    • If they're regularly losing out on major artists because of production limitations, or if they're just monitoring the kind of stages other festivals and major concerts are able to come up with, Glasto could do with seriously upgrading their ambitions when it comes to the Pyramid stage, at the very least (probably Other also). I think, with the benefit of complete ignorance about anything remotely practical and relevant, they could pretty easily do this around the current permanent structure (though they should probably upgrade this also at some point), and obviously while retaining their shape-based idiosyncrasy.
    • Exactly! And was even married to a Brit for all of the 00s.
    • There's only one date that's not pretty much sold out 😂
    • Madonna lived in the UK for absolutely ages and I think is still largely London-based at the moment.  I'm sure she'll be well aware.     But it wouldn't need to be either / or.  Lots of acts do both  - Glastonbury for the hype and BST for the pay.
