This is possibly the greatest thread in the history of the internet.

It has it all.

Every conceivable human emotion methinks

( ok slight exaggeration )

It's kept me entertained for weeks.

Thank you all.

I just had to be part of it

May have been mentioned before but I read in the Guardian that £750K had been spent on drainage since last year and tonnes of 'hardcore' had been placed under areas of well used turf like round the main stages and outside la grande bouffe sausage and french potato shop.

I just thought of a joke about burying hardcore but it's gone...

Anyway... point is Eavis has sorted it.. all the rain will just run off down Michael's big pipe.

Stop worrying!

;):):):)

2 hours till im offski, so excited. I finally got wellies but I'll tell you one thing - they are not designed for the legs of fat people!

My friends and I have made 'I love Mud' tee shirts as an act of defiance to the weather - it will never dampen the glasto spirit (even if it tries year after blinkin year)

Bring on the sun and the rain and the mud and the pear cider.

Jo Whiley has just given a weather report...

Today - Cloudy

Tomorow - few heavy showers, but with lots of sunny bits, so will dry out

Friday - light showers

Satuday - light showers

Sunday....gonna piss it down.......

I can live with that...... ;)

What time are the rest of you people reading this thread going down? I'm not going to be there until at least midday tomorrow and am worried that the site will be a muddy mess with no space to camp. Someone make me feel better!...

I'm on one of those 'special' coaches. It leaves London at 5pm! Although I hope to miss most of tomorrow's downpour, I've got the same worries. So you're not alone. But I do have someone saving us a space...

Great thread, by the way. For the record, whatever the weather, we have tickets unlike the majority of the UK who just wish they do.

    • Proper special gig tonight. They won't mean much to most people, but The Dogs D'Amour were one of the most significant bands of my youth.   Tyla, yer main man of said band, was playing in Birkenhead tonight. Not many there, but it was going fine. Then he decided he didn't like the smoke and the flashing lights so suggested moving the gig to the beer garden. Off we all went, and it was magical. Like having your favourite musician play in your garden. I absolutely loved it.   Before:     After:
