We're going to drown....at some point the heavens will open and you willg et wet.

Either way it will be cold in the dark parts of the day.

Just face it.... in june our end of the planet jsut isn't clsoe enough to the sun for the weather to be dry and sunny.

i think it will be a lovely sunny one, I am basing this on the fact that it is sunny now. and that i am hungover. and the sun is lovely. as it will be at glasto. and that my friends is a scientific fact.

Do bear in mind that confidence is less than 50%; ie no one really knows just yet. Things can change very fast - as of Tuesday, there was rain forecast for London and parts of the South East, and look at it now! So I wouldn't worry yet.

Although some of the variables are quite unpredictable this far in advance it seems safe to say from the weight of evidence of all the forecasts about at the moment that:

a) It won't be an absolute scorcher; and

;) It will rain for at least part of the festival.

Here we go again folks...

The BBC's Monthly Outlook has been updated again... and it's looking fairly good!

Monday 18th to Sunday 1st July 2007

“Becoming warmer again”

The Azores high looks set to build again extending a ridge of high pressure across the UK. Temperatures are expected to be on the warm side especially in northern parts.

Rainfall amounts will probably be around the seasonal average, although it could be slightly drier than normal in the southeast. Average amounts of sunshine are expected.

I was talking to 3 people on Sunday 2 of them had been to 3 muddy Glastonburys and the other had been to 2 muddy Glastonburys. None of them had seen a none muddy festival!

Please let it be firm ground!

I'm not liking the week before though

A cooler northeasterly flow looks set to develop this week bringing temperatures down slightly. There is a greater chance of rainfall with southern parts expected to see slightly higher than average levels.

As a consequence, sunshine amounts are likely to be a little lower than average in the south but slightly above average further north.

A positive update from the beeb. Although as William just mentioned the details and trends will change as we move closer. Just had a quick glimpse at the GFS (the american forecasting model) and it appears that we are due an unsettled couple of weeks after this weeks warmth but there also a trend for a rise in pressure as we head towards glasto week.

The key difference this year and 2005 is where the blocking or high pressure is occuring.

Can someone just tell me that its going to be nice and hot, in fact I dont care if its cold as long as its DRY -all the 'keeping the dust down/you have a better time when its wet' people can sod off ;) . I like to sit on the grass from time to time.

So to sum it up I dont care if you lie, tell me you are a weatherman/shaman just give us hope!
