The Prodigy... best news I could have heard, cannot wait to be there ;)

A question for those who have been in previous years: what is the timing of the stages? Thursday looks like it could be the best night of my life, but how many clashes between main and dance do you reckon there will be? I MUST see:

GROOVE ARMADA

THE PRODIGY

STANTON WARRIORS

RICHIE HAWTIN

TRENTEMOLLER LIVE

GREEN VELVET

MAGDA

So surely I'm going to have to compromise somewhere...?

Cheers

Tom

Don't mean to be overly blatant about this but i'm flying from Holland to Budapest and like a bit of a 'smoke' to say the least. There is no way i'm taking any over myself but it would be a crime not to blaze during Wu and Lauryn Hill, do you see many people craftily smoking around the main festival and campsite? Also wanted to know whether these luggage, food and alcohol restrictions mentioned in the EXIT FAQ apply to the campsite.

ooh also if anyone can e-mail me some forum beer meeting places, i know this is my first posty but i need an education in dance music.

woo bring on EXIT

I'd be up for an efest meet but I think you...as the most prolific poster in here should arrange it :) I'm off to Glasto in a bit clapmg6.gif so as much as i'd like to, I couldn't do any arranging for at least a week

If I were arranging it, I'd start a new thread like the Beni one and either add people who were up for it to the first post (with msn details maybe?) and keep it updated...or just ask people to add and update themselves as (or if ;) ) the list grows...

Possibly even sort a free chat room out to do any organising, number swapping etc, that way everyone can get as involved as they like :)

nah, once you're in you're in - it's not like Homelands where you have dozens of undercovers in each arena. Just be careful getting into the fortress, don't risk taking anything through the gates, the place is swarming with armed police - searches are extremely thorough.

so once you're in the festival it's aight?

some girl told me a horror story about her mate smoking a spliff inside the festival and getting nabbed by an undercover cob, who proceeded to march them to a cash machine for a fine/bribe. same deal with some guy and his pills ;)

Well smoking pot inside is not quite good idea , because you can smell pot from milles away , so i guess you have to be carefull when doing that ,

allthough pills and something like that cant be detected , except from smiles and crazy dancing ;)

    • TOP 10 acts (top 5 in bold😞   Blood Orange (ciutat)   Guitarricadelafuente   Oklou - Looks like I'm capable of enjoying music in the rain after all, just not the whole night.   Rilo Kiley   The Cure   Jade   Depresión Sonora   Gelli Haha (Parc del Forum) - Her music never really clicked with me. Until I saw her live.   MARINA   Six Sex (ciutat) - I was shocked how supersmall the venue was and that almost everyone (except for me) knew every word of every song (including the ones that were released this weekend!).   Honorable mention:   Ashnikko - missed the first 15 minutes (because of Gelli Haha) and I'm not really a fan of her music, but the show was an absolute blast.
    • Totally agree about PinkPantheress stage choice. 'Luckily' for me, one of my main targets, fakemink, was absolutely awful, meaning that I left early and was in a surprisingly good spot at Cupra before it got totally packed.
    • As many said before, not my favourite Primavera. sh*tty weather is something I'm not really used to when enjoying music. Poor communication (more than 1 hour long radio silence during the worst rain) didn't help, but the main problem was me. I decided to leave the venue after things seemed to be getting back to normal. Massive Attack were supposed to play again (with Hymn of the Big Wheel back on the setlist!) as were all other artists on the smaller stages (including Fcukers with one my favourite albums of the year). FOMO was at an all-time high. However, after 4 hours in the rain, I had to admit to myself that I'm not cut out for this. I wasn't even that soaked (water-proof jacket worked). I was just fed up with the rain, wind and cold and wasn't able to enjoy music anymore.   Also, they should stop ignoring the growth of some artists between signing them up and their actual performance. Both PinkPantheress and Ninajirachi sets were ruined for me by completely inadequate stage choice.   However, I felt very much the same way after the 2022 edition and have thoroughly enjoyed all subsequent editions. So I'm still buying early bird tickets for 2027 and hoping this was a hiccup not the start of a downward trend.
    • I will definitely be buying a 2027 early bird pass, partially because of the priority reservation privileges for the Ciutat sets. Hopefully the organization will take action to improve upon this year's failings. Because I thought the free water options and sound quality were an improvement over last year, so clearly they can actually implement positive changes.   I also hope all the douchebag chompers get in the sea, cause I was more bothered by them than in the past few years.   Highlights: The Cure, Ninajirachi, Knocked Loose, Current 93, Blood Orange.
