Seems to be getting reported as his only headline show in UK, I would say he's probably out BST now but can be on the Sunday teatime glasto slot or something

Given BST recently I wouldn't expect it as rock heavy as that. I kinda am expecting it'd be where The Cure play though as I'm expecting a second year touring of them

If the rumours coming out of the U2 camp are correct (big stadium world tour) then think they're more likely to do Wembley, Twickenham, etc as they'll be able to bring their own production and typically like to go big.

Exactly. One rumour doing the rounds was that they were playing 2 stadium shows in Greece next summer and that I would assume it'll be part of the same tour to do a London stadium gig.

I wouldn't. U2 would almost certainly be doing stadiums and Muse have been saying they have stadium shows booked. They're the likelier of the two to be doing BST Hyde Park, but my expectations would be to expect them turning up at a stadium.

I think it’s more expecting them to tour in some form so could turn up at BST if either decide against stadiums. Probably more aimed at Muse considering the high ticket prices and not so fast selling arena tour.

Yeah the rumour I heard is Glastonbury + Spurs stadium, the guy who posted it seems to be on the ball most of the time as well.

 

He's also now put one up for Sam fender summer shows

Know that it isn't unheard of for a band to headline Glastonbury - for I assume that is all Fontaines would accept now - and play their own stadium/outdoor shows in the same summer, but it feels unusual for British/Irish acts, no?

Will say some of the pricing for that run is horrendously shocking. Anything over £100 is still bonkers to me - north of £200 is a travesty.

I guess Glastonbury are just trying to keep some costs down and this is a way to do it maybe 🤷‍♀️. If they were originally trying for Madonna as well that wouldn't have been cheap

Blimey, I thought it wasn’t going as well due to the pricing and as it didn’t fly out ticket sale day.

Incredible that people are paying it, not had a good album in about 20 years now. Quite disappointing at those prices as it’ll keep climbing if people keep paying unfortunately.

Tbf they sold out the mainland European shows that follow this UK tour more or less immediately so I guess much of Europe will be stadiums for them next summer regardless and they might want to bring any stadium bespoke production here, even if it's just one night at a London stadium or whatever. 

 

I like the new album and wanted to see them again but £150 for a standing ticket is ridiculous and all the sub-£100 price categories sold out. So you know, would like to go but guess I'm waiting for any last minute dropouts. Tbf I would hazard a guess of these 4 UK shows in November that more tickets are sold than unsold and by the time of the show it'll be, if not a full house, close enough.

I think the age of tickets flying out day one for a lot of artists is drawing to a close now, especially with the prices.

 

There will be exceptions of course, I was surprised how quickly Phoebe Bridgers sold out
