Long shots, but not out of the realm of possibility:

It blows my mind but f they do another early reveal we can get the lineup next month already.

And I agree with the earlier comment that The Strokes are actually more likely for Mad Cool next year.

We're really lacking heritage alternative acts for next year (Depeche Mode, The Cure, Pulp, Pavement etc.) unless they surprise us with a reunion or some other band goes on tour - The Strokes are seemingly the only realistic one that fits the mold currently.

How is Slayyyter even close to being a headliner?

When it comes to legacy alternative acts I hope they bring the Afghan Whigs. Those newly released songs are incredible and classic Whigs sound

She pulled in 50k people at Lollapalooza, she's definitely Addison Rae level in terms of popularity.

Addison Rae's management made her a headliner at Euro fests this summer by not accepting anything less than that. I think that was also doable because she was already a famous name. In comparison, Slayyyter would be a harder sell to the general public on the top line.

    • Am a relative amateur in the ticket/tech shenanigans and not part of a large group etc. but personally preferred the F5 bashing approach and got through twice in recent yrs (plenty when didn't, mind) - 2023 but it crashed on me at the final hurdle and then again in 2024 where I held my nerve when it crashed again and managed to get.  Think now I am committed to volunteering if doing festivals as that's close to my heart, so happy to help others when the time comes round.   The most impressive I've seen was bus sales in 2022 when 2 mates casually bagged tickets while in San Sebastian, on a phone inside the stadium during a Real Sociedad v Man Utd game!
    • I wouldn’t be surprised if it was £425.  If I recall there was a significant jump about 10 years ago and with the prices of gigs significantly inflating in the last couple of years I can see another big jump coming.
    • I think they are just sold out ..... I find it highly unlikely that the entire arena wouldn't go on sale for a band the size of muse straight away.   Theres also some in those blocks on sale on resale sites
    • Personally, I do hope Fontaines headline next year. Feels like it's their time in terms of the contemporary element - I know 2028 could equally be but I think (and speaking as an old git) they are probably the most significant band to emerge for a good few years, and they've already accumulated 4 great albums, let alone adding 5th, to field a memorable setlist.
