Yeah this has been the strongest year for me in a while, across the whole weekend I would probably say I only had about 2 hours where I wasn't watching anything. Last year I had a few hours a day where there was trying to fill the time 

It definitely felt a lot more 'old school' Latitude feeling for me too which was very nice

Friday was less busy so seemed well enforced, Saturday was carnage but Sunday seemed to pull it back 

The walkways were a brilliant idea but I think they need one thay goes to in front of the sound desk too

Bit concerning seeing the wildfires currently burning in Suffolk. They started less than five miles from the Latitude Festival site.

With the strong breeze last the weekend, I said to a mate that it wouldn't take much for things to become a real problem on site.

We had a really good weekend this year. This was our 2nd year after giving it a go last year with 3 year old twins (we do Glasto but don't take the kids and have no plans to in the distant future!!).

 

Highlights of the weekend for me was Peter Hook & the Light, English Teacher, Flaming Lips, Adult DVD and Alex James (I get the karaoke thing but I still thought it was great). Missed loads of acts we wanted to see due to having two kids in tow but overall we left happy with what we managed to see across the weekend. Some great food vendors, good to see Steak Frites make an appearance this year, one of my faves from Glasto. Festival is really well run, toilets remained clean and stocked with loo roll all weekend, even on Sunday night/Monday morning. The walk from the cars is a ballache but it is what it is, arriving Thursday evening meant we were parked as far away as you could be.

 

My only gripe is that there seems to be a trend of parents letting their teenagers camp completely separately to them in family camping. We had a large group of 15-17 year olds near us who came home pissed up every evening at 3-4am being really loud and annoying! I get that it's a festival etc but I think it's taking the piss a bit letting your kids camp separately and disrupt everyone else.

 

All in all we had a really good time and are looking forward to next year.

Another great weekend with family and friends.  We spend most of our time between Obelisk, and second stage due to having young children.  Overpass, Florence Road, Nathan Evans, David Byrne and Alex James were the highlights for me.  Quite enjoyed a dance to Gok Wan on the Saturday too.

 

Certainly feeling the Latitude blues this week and looking forward to next year.

 

Also looking forward to all the predictions for next year in the 2027 chat.

Been going for 10 years. Wasn't massively keen on the lineup beforehand - although as usual after some research I did start to really look forward to it. We had a brilliant time, felt more like old school Latitude, lovely vibe and we met some nice people. We saw loads but highlights for me -

 

Lime Garden

Florence Road

Jalen Ngonda

David Byrne - Not a fan of him or TH really but we went out of interest and it was one of those festival shows that you'll never forget. The staging was off the scale.

Eleni Drake - Up on BBC Introducing, what a haven that stage is. 

Westside Cowboy

Getdown Services - Probably highlight of the weekend for me. Absolutely brilliant and have booked tix for them in Bristol next year.

Everything Everything - They're my favourite band so I loved it when they were added. A great start to Sunday and met loads of their fans up near the front.

Alex James Britpop - We enjoyed it and Gary Stringer FFS!

David O'Doherty - Saw him twice, brilliant as usual.

Self Esteem - Adore Rebecca and the show was as live affirming as always.

 

Overall, it was such a brilliant weekend. Beforehand we said that we might give it a miss next year but I'm pretty sure that we'll be sucked right back in!
