i hope tony has better success - hes gone bust a few times, it was the weather that screwed it last time.

that looks like a typically diverse guilfest line-up, a great mix of great acts.

Is it still Tony Scott that's in charge?

Couldn't find out who was behind it.

im guessing it is, as he owns the name and website and stuff. it was tony who ran the last one at a different site (kenny jone's polo farm). (i'm quite proud of that cos i told tony that kenny was keen to host a festival (cos some people i know are in the same polo set as kenny, paul young, and jodie kid.).

Looks like Bob has disappeared from the lineup?

i'd guess hes pulled out,  - no one ever makes a song and dance about an act cancelling. they just quietly remove the name.

so then - did anyone here actually go to Guilfest 2024 or 2025?

i used to go to it back in the 90's - it really was a great event, and i'd even go as far as to say i had some of my best ever festival times there.

seriously thinking about heading back this year.

but what this new revived version like?

how was it last year?

🙂

    • Tell me more. Last Latitude we went to was '21 - my son was young & had a wagon so we snuck good beers in that way. I remember there being some Brooklyn IPA on sale which was tolerable - are you saying they don't sell anything other than Carlsberg now?! 😳
    • Tonight was a disgrace. There wasn't *that* much rain, and it wasn’t *that* windy. A festival of this size should be able to withstand some adverse weather without it bringing the whole circus to a standstill. And if it is true that part of a speaker on the Revolut stage fell…   As for the communication - announcing Massive Attack were playing at 12:30 and then nothing for over an hour while people waited in the rain. It’s laughable it really is.   If I said I’ll never come back again I’d be lying. The shambles of Barcelona 2022 and the disgrace of Madrid 2023 didn’t stop me, so this probably won’t either.   This festival gets so much wrong, but it is always saved by having such killer line-ups. It’s just a shame it treats the fans/customers/consumers like animals. Compare it to somewhere like Glastonbury and it’s worlds apart.
